  We only needed a hotel in a convenient location for our next day visit to Tam Coc but definitely found more than this. The hotel rooms are simply huge, very clean and comfortable. Really felt like home there. We even got a PC in the room. But the staff makes the difference. They were incredibly kind and attentive. We had dinner in the hotel and de... hva folk sier » spite was late and we were the only ones they cooked for us everything we wanted from the menu (which by the way had very good choices). We could also - Good staff, very helpful arranging transport (one of the staff took me on his motor bike all day sightseeing) and allowed early check in and arranged all my connections to Hoi An. Hotel had good facilities, was clean and comfortable. Great value of course. The sights around Ninh Binh (Tam Coc before or after the tourists have gone) and countryside are similarly impressive as Halong Bay.

  I stayed two nights at The Vancouver Hotel and really enjoyed our stay very very much. Everything worked out very well and the rooms were very modern and spotlessly clean. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful, I rented a scooter through the hotel and Mr David/ owner recommended me a tour in the surroundings of Ninh Binh and it was exc... hva folk sier » ellent. He showed me everything on the map and even wrote down questions for directions in Vietnamese so that we could ask the local people and wouldn - We spent two nights at Vancouver Hotel as we wanted to get away from the hustle of Hanoi. The room was clean and comfortable. David helped us to arrange a private tour with a driver and an English speaking guide to bring us around for a reasonable rate. We really enjoyed the sights at Ninh Binh. David was helpful and forthcoming with suggestions, and added a personal touch to our stay.

  Couldn't say a bad word about this hotel. We're so glad we stayed in Ninh Binh for 1 night instead of doing a day tour from Hanoi. The staff is great, they pick you up from the train/bus station without you having to ask for this (or even mentioning what time you arrive, incredible!). Rooms are very big, and the tour - Nothing was too much trouble for the owners/staff and did everything possible to ensure an enjoyable stay. For example i was picked up from the train station without even asking if this was possible and without the owners knowing i was arriving by train, therefore they must have been driving between the bus and train station looking for me, and to top it off they even cooked food for me when the kitchen was closed (as i arrived late in the evening).
