Although I was skeptical to book based on other reviews, I'm glad I did. It seemed that the good reviews were for the "renovated side" and the bad reviews were for the much older hotel side. The hotel room was the best value for the price that I could find in Pigeon Forge. We booked a room with two king size beds, a jacuzzi and a balcony over the river for 3 nights for what you would pay for 1 night at another hotel. You can't beat the price, and the room was large clean and had a balcony overl.
alle vurderinger » We've stayed there a few tines before but stayed this time because they are a pet friendly hotel. As always it was clean and accommodating and the price was great!. The room was spacious and very clean. Requested and was allowed to change our room location facing the little pigeon river for the second night of our stay. I liked my private balcony and whirlpool tub. Liked the fact it had an elevator.Handicap accessible parking was appreciated. My room was clean. It's location in Pigeon Forge and its accessibility to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, and shopping in Pigeon Forge. Location was perfect and the room I had was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Had a great weekend. Liked large rooms with big beds n jacuzzieand indoor n outdoor pools n overlookin river in back with private balconys. they have 2 pools indoor and outdoor we have stayed there several times we love it. balconies on river very nice. Clean rooms with friendly helpful staff. Indoor and outdoor pools. Balcony. Creekside. In room Jacuzzi. I loved everything about our stay.we will defiantly be back:). The indoor pool was nice and the room was nice and clean. The maid service was good and staff were friendly. We liked the two king size beds. Lots of room. The view and inside pool. we liked the inside pool. the price was great. Location. the ride home was nice, as my wallet was so thin that I could hardly feel it in my hip pocket. not much of anything. Close to everything. It was nice with the new guy at the front desk he is really tring to make a difference from the name they had he was friendly and very helpful . Our room was nice and had a great view we enjoyed and will more than likely return thanks. When I informed housekeeping about my room they quickly cleaned and fixed it for me. Smoky Shadows is ideally located for our visit to Dollywood. The indoor pool was great for my granddaughter. people working there were very friendly.. The location was the only thing I liked. It was ok but will not stay again. like that it was by a river. Not very much. Pet friendly. Indoor pool. Location. Location. nothing. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. The staff was rude and didnt have a clue at what they were doing. Didnt do anything they had promised to do. They were overbooking rooms. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and ended up staying in what they called the next day a "down room". It was filthy dirty. The manager did put us in correct accommodations the next day and agreed to let us stay an extra night free. When that day came I went to office to confirm this and they had fired manager and a guy named "Gene" wa. the balcony view of the river,the maid named evelyn,the spa tub in the room,. The elevator had an old musty smell that was very unpleasant. Location of first night room, their phone lines and wifi connection were not working during our stay. Staff tried to put me a room i didnt book. ( quickly remedied the problem when I brought it to their attention.) Went for breakfast and had no milk and apple juice was out of order. Not enough washcloths or towels. Indoor pool was dirty. The fact that the jacuzzi in our room did not work. However we felt we were too late in the evening finding out to complain. Mattress on beds were very stained on bottem of them like bloodstains or something n one of the beds were broken down but we we're still able to sleep on it. Ice machine in our building was out of order. The only working one was at the main building next to the lobby which was far from our room. That was my only complaint. The front desk management was stressed out and disorganized. They lost my reservation and it took forty five minutes for them to get me checked in to my room. The maintenance staff person found my reservation. The 'spa' tub did not work. Not enough towels and they were too small. Elevator doors took to long to open. Was on the 7th floor and was never able to get a wireless connection the entire stay. need better continal breakfast. pools needed lots of work. nothing. the Jacuzzi never got hot enough to use. The staff was ridiculously unprofessional. The picture online didn't match the room we were originally given.it was like Dan and Roseanne Conner patnered in business with the Clampletts. The elevator smelled of urine and mold. I won't ever stay there again. Breakfast menu can be better. Well all was a lie what was on line we booked on line thru letsbookhotel.com what we booked was different when we got their somebody better fix this if not we will get for false advertising and we will plaster everywhere we can. we got to the hotel on Friday evening and tried to check in. the manager said that they were overbooked by 1000 rooms, yet we were able to get a room for about twice the price quoted by letsbookhotel.com . The manager was sick , having to blow his nose a lot, and then handling my drivers license and credit card. guess who`s sick now. thanks so much. Donald. the picture of the motel was not the room we stayed in. They didnt have any milk the 2 mornings i went down to eat cereal. They didn't have wifi at all. Water pressure was awful so I couldn't wash my hair. An old smell in the room. I stayed on the second floor. It was suppose to be no smoking floor. People on that floor smoke. It was all in my room. I have a 3month old baby. It wasn't great. The phone, and coffee maker didn't work. Wifi didn't work. What else more....Oh and also there was a lot of police cars when I check in. Come to find out on the news someone got caught at the very same motel making meth. Thats why there was a lot of police there. Never go back there again. I can't reach the location to assist with an item I left in hotel room. Call me @ 770-402-3783. There is a reward for returning my prescription eyeglasses that were left. Breakfast needs to be better and the smell in the elevator needs to be addressed. When I checked in at 5pm, the room I was given had not been cleaned. Also I asked for a non-smoking room and when I opened the door you could smell smoke. Even after spraying a smoke begone spray, as long as the balcony was open you could not smell it but as soon as you closed the door the smell was back. We were very disappointed at the cleanliness of the motel. They initially put us in a room that was flooded with a toilet overflowed!! That put a damper on our visit to say the least. The computer system was down at check in time. I returned later at night and the computer system, was very slow. It took more than 1 1/2 hours to get checked into the room. non smoking room clearly was NOT non smoking stunk horribly of smoke where my asthmatic daughter had trouble breathing..floors were filthy..toilet did not flush properly..pools had mold growing in them..overall it was not a healthy place to be with all the mold around and smell. There isn't enough room to tell you what I didn't like! The staff was terrible, though the owner tried to make it right he was stool rude during our stay. The room you are looking at online isn't the room they plan on giving you when u arrive. I did however make them give is that room after pitching a fit! Owner even had the nerve to say u get what u pay for, he was right. Indoor pool was cold, jacuzzi was ok after I pulled someones hair from the drain. I won't be returning or do I recommend!. It has really gone down from the last time i stayed.Was not clean the out side had bugs and spiders,very sad that was a nice place,. it didn't smell good at all and the breakfast included was a joke. it felt like a roach motel. Room was under bad conditions alarm clock broke, tv missing on off switch, no hair drier. Continintal breakfast consisted of hoho's and oatmeal pies no milk orange juice place sucked. They want to charge more because they had a lot of drive up vistor.But thank to Booking they backed off. Rooms and total hotel run down. Great Breakfast if U like Rasin Bran and Little Debbie Cakes. What a Joke. Such be Sued for Adv. Cont. Breakfast!!!. everything. Had to wait 2 He's to clean room that was giving to us.front desk was real rude.carpet was nasty walking on carpet my feet felt like walking on motor oil.roaches in room 9 other people had same issue don't ever stay at this place. Elevators stunk. Carpets were extremely dirty. Only got 2 towels per day for a room with 4 people. had problems checking in the rooms we through we had booked was not in the tow ers. was tolded the tower rooms would be 89.95 a night. The staff was extremely rude. alarm went off at 5:00 in the morning everyone went outside ,no fire just a prank..... Did not get the room we had booked. All the Non Smoking rooms had been Smoked in. Rooms in need of repair.(Dirty carpet, Lamps falling apart, Burned out light bulbs, Leaking facets). Didnt have my smoking room like i had preferred, the phone didnt work ,there was no wifi, and the t.v. kept going in and out. The pool was dirty. I didn't like anything about the place. It's dirty filthy nasty. The staff were rude especially the office staff. the leaky bath room,the dirty and wet hallways,poor lighting in hallways, no place to walk a dog,the worn out bedspreads,thin towels,the guests on upper floors throwing cigaretts on our vehicle,the office smelled,walls dirty, door swelled so had to force door open and to close, the window blinds were broken.
