  I was travelling with my 15 year old daughter. The hotel was a pleasant surprise amidst the unattractive neighborhood. The room was small, but that's New York. We were on 9th floor and the sweeping views of the Williamsburg bridge and Manhattan skyline were amazing! Beds were very comfortable, room was clean. Staff was young, polite, and - Regarding location, some might find the surrounding industry/depot businesses disturbing, but you cannot beat the stunning view of the Manhattan skyline, you have from all rooms and the rooftop-terrace. The area is quiet at night - also if you walk home to your hotel in the evening. Convenient with the complimentary hotel shuttlebus, but you could also easily walk to the subway station Queensboro Plaza 7 blocks from the hotel (8 min walk).   Travelling as family with two older children 21 and 18, we chose the one bedroom suite with two double beds (most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in). The suite also had a bed settee in the lounge area. The suite was spacious and very comfortable with super TV's in bedroom and lounge, not that we spent much time watching the tv! We used the fridge - From the moment we entered the kimberly hotel in new york we were greeted with smiles from the receptionist. Our plane arrived in early so we knew check in was at around 3 o clock. So we were prepared to drop our bags and head off to check out the sights but to our surprise the room was ready for us when we got there which was fantastic. Really from there on the staff were great they even sent me up a birthday cake for my birthday:-) The hotel was beautiful the bed was amazing so cosy and soft.
