I loved this hotel! My husband and I stayed at this hotel for my birthday weekend. I use to live in New Orleans, but this was my husband's first visit and we had a blast. I liked that it was in a quiet street but only a five minute walk from the hub of activity. I absolutely loved the Ruby Slipper right next door for breakfast every morning, why go anywhere else!! Staff was excellent and the hotel was in the perfect location in a
quieter section of the French Quarter (but still close to all the
action). The room and hotel in general were very clean and comfortable

We booked at the Avenue Plaza at the last minute because our reserved hotel room elsewhere had a broken pool. For $10 more a night, the amenities were more than doubled. We were so happy with our stay at the Plaza I will book there every return (business) trip. It is worth not "shopping around" to stay there.

A nice old building with typical for nola iron balcony (there are tables
and chairs there, so you can sit, have a cup of coffee and admire the
view of the old French Quarters). The rooms are renovated with clean and
modern bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. The people in hotel very
friendly and helpful. The was no safe in the room but there is a safety
deposit box at the front desk and its free! Location is great - just two
blocks from Bourbon Street. -
Located in the heart of French Quarter, 5 minutes walk from Bourbon Street, 10 minutes Jackson Square or Canal Street. Room where i stayed was small, just big enough for a queen bed, bathroom was actually bigger - but very comfortable and perfectly adequate for solo traveller.
I was a little concerned about walking back late at night after reading several reviews - but really nothing to worry about. Would definitely recommend - excellent value for money.

When I first arrived I was disappointed to find out I would be staying in the guest house across the street. My disappointment evaporated when I entered my room. The bedroom was large with a comfortable bed. Then I looked at the bathroom it was as large as the bedroom with a jacuzzi bathtub and a separate walkin shower all tastefully done.
