  We booked the 1110 hotel as our penultimate stop on a 3 week California drive holiday. After reading some negative reviews after booking we were a little wary but needn't have been. The welcome we received when checking in was very warm, the decor was gorgeous and the hotel had a really lovely feel. The room, though a little small, was beautifully... hva folk sier » decorated and the shower was amazing!!! Steps from the beach, 10 mins stroll to fishermans wharf and main town but without the huge room rate, a love - The lady who checked us in was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The complimentary happy hour was a good opportunity to meet others staying at the hotel and the ambiance was nice, we sat on a sofa by the fireplace. The staff were VERY friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. The room was totally updated. The bathroom was updated and the shower/jaccuzi was fantastic! The roof was a patio where you can sit and watch the ocean while sipping your drink.

  Service really was exceptional, just like they claim; the staff tended to your needs, greeted you at breakfast and made sure your stay was tended to throughout. The views are gorgeous, but believe it or not almost secondary--that's how much Mr. Martine makes you feel welcome to stay at his home. He has the most amazing collection of MG cars (and antiques!) and is happy to show you and describe their vintage to you anytime. - Great location and the staff were very friendly. Great for a couple looking to relax and take in the scene. The place has all the old world charm. We were even greeted by some deer in the front yard as we were checking in. Location is fantastic with good restaurants within walking distance and 17 Mile drive within a bike ride range (much nicer than doing it by car and you don't have to pay the entrance fee). Just perfect. The owners collection of MGs is an added bonus. Make sure to take
