Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. Location was great! Its a very historical building and its been updated. On the first night, there was banging like someone was using a hammer at 9pm and I called the front desk and it stopped! Very accommodating staff - Located in a quiet side road. Ideal to go shoping by foot. Nice stores (also grocery) close by. As for the rooms it seems to depend on which room you get: I was located 1 block away from Copley House and enjoyed the suite very much.

Unfortunately we arrived just after the bombs had gone off, the staff were on hand immediately to help and reassure us, they were extremely kind and upgraded us to a suite. Maureen booked us in for dinner at a local Restaurant and even sent us over her favourite cocktail while we were having dinner. Room was very comfortable and clean, location was good - will be back!!

to our convention and the concierge made us his number 1 priority to try
