  Location is excellent - central point for all Manhattan. Great for early morning visits to Empire State Building to beat the queues. Rooms are excellent - everything you could want at an exceptionally high standard. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Roof. It was great to be so close to Chelsea, East Village, West Village and Greenwich village.   Excellent budget hotel much cheaper than most but great value for money. Clean no frills rooms quite large for NYC. We had a Queen bed our room had a small annexe room (no door) for our 18 year old daughter. Each room had a flat screen TV, airconditioners and each a small walk in robe. The staff were over top with customer service, anything I asked or I got not problems. The biggest shopping center Macy's is 2 blocks after. Perfect bed and bathroom. Also the room is big according to the other hotels in Manhattan. I will prefer to stay there when I visit NY again.
