  We wanted to stay in the Shenandoah National Park, but everywhere was booked up; booked the Hampton instead. What luck! The Park was closed due to the Federal shutdown, so the Hampton Inn made a great central base for visiting the area. Rooms are huge, and the lounge area similar. There is complimentary coffee/tea and cookies in the lounge anytime... hva folk sier » , and breakfast is good. There is a self-service laundry room, and an indoor swimming pool! - The room was spacious and clean. Appreciated their policy on clean linens, including duvet covers,for each guest stay. The breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly, thoughtful and helpful.
