That was quite strange experience to stay here. The building looks old but landmark of near the top of the hill over Woolacombe. The room is quite old and shabby as expected. We had a wonderful relaxing stay at The Royal. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable when we asked for advice on places to visit. The room was clean and tidy with white sheets and the bed was very comfortable. The Hotel had a lot of character and the view from the balcony was amazing. We will be visiting this hotel again.

The owners were very pleasant, and were always at hand to cater for all our needs, the place was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The place is surrounded by beautiful green scenery and is 10 mins drive from Woolacombe beach, and also 10 mins drive from Ilfracombe town. -

We received a very friendly greeting from Nicky, as though she had been waiting for the arrival of someone she already knew. The breakfasts were excellent, and the tables in the dining room were not too close together. Our room had a lovely view over the garden, and was very peaceful. This is our second time staying and we were very pleased to be going back. Owner is very friendly and the rooms we have had had been recently refurbished and are clean and comfortable. High quality breakfast and very relaxed feel. Best bits of staying in a hotel and some one's home.

Everything about this farm is delightful staff were friendly helpful and the breakfast was the best I have tasted in a long time. Rooms were well supplied with everything one needs for an overnight stay and children were treated like royalty nicest place I have stayed in and would certainly book again.
