I liked the warm welcome we received as we walked through the door, the friendliness of all the staff and their willingness to help. The food was very nice with good sized portions. The beer was excellent (Badger.) The location is great for visiting other places all within a reasonable drive time. I want to go back.
Excellent example of staying in an English country pub. Highly recommend it.

Everything - we took our dog and my brother had his 2 yr old grand-daughter with him and we were all made welcome and were able to sit together for a meal - very family and dog friendly a pleasure to be there.
The room was nice and comfy, location was excellent and the price was reasonable for what we got. Free wifi was a plus considering phone signal was a bit poor here.
A fantastic area for walking.
The staff were fantastic.
Good food, breakfast was great and the service was excellent.
friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed and a breakfast that will keep you going all day and great location.

Good location, lovely breakfast.
Very friendly with our dog.
I liked the setting and the staff were great. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in a hotel.
location/ ambiance. Food in evening.
food was great beautiful pub!.
Position was ok and the food was what you would expect from a busy pub near to holiday camps and camping sites.
Lovely historic inn located on coast in fairly remote location lovely walks and scenery.
Noise from other residence, close rooms and thin walls.
The pub itself is fantastic, the rooms are clean apart from the windows, they are in need of a good clean and a lick of paint, and our room could do with a makeover.
not a lot really, the curtains in room 2 could do with being a bit darker so it's not so light first thing the morning, other than that it's a lovely place.
Nothing to dislike.
The room we stayed in was above the bar so lots of noise until late. not much of a vegetarian option on menu.
Cooked breakfast took 40 minutes to arrive and was cold on the first day of arriving. TV reception in bedroom was very poor, not very many channels to choose from.
Room was fine - little bit tired but the bed was not at all comfortable and really seemed old and lumpy.
room was a bit basic.
Dogs inside very close to where you eat. A loud extractor fan outside our bedroom window on all night.
breakfast - plates swimming in gease, sausage underdone bacon overdone such that it broke rather than being capable of being capable of being eaten with cutlery.
no Soap, shampoo or shower gel in room!.
Movement of rubbish past bedroom windows late into the night past 11.00pm and general condition of room and on suite. whilst I understand the rooms are going to be refurbished early next year, at present they do not warant the prices being charged.
The inn is very large, very quiet on a sunday night but judging by the number of tables inside and out can be very crowded. Very dark basic room not clean dirty cobwebs hanging from ceiling in en-suite, snail crawling up wall on landing! Mattress very thin, old non matching furniture Breakfast looked good but strange taste to mushrooms, no marmalade for toast. Pricey for very basic facilities, you pay for the location.
