However the reception staff were marvellously kind and welcoming and gave us a complimentary tray of tea in the lounge. When it became clear that there would be a further delay, we were switched to another room immediately. I am full of praise for the reception staff.

The hotel was excellent and certainly lived up to it's description and reviews. Marion and Les (the owners) were very welcoming (the pot of tea on arrival was very much appreciated). We stayed in one of the garden rooms which had recently been refurbished - it was lovely. The hotel generally was clean and tidy and the breakfasts were homecooked

The hotel is great and you feel right at home in a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast room was very pleasant and the breakfast was excellent. We couldn't have asked for more. I can certainly recommend this hotel to anybody whol is thinking of booking a hotel in Torquay. The hotel was very clean and well kept. Our room which was on the top floor (which I asked for) was lovely.

Nice white towels, tea/coffee making facilties - Staff at the hotel were so friendly and it was great to see a young couple with a family working so well together. We will certainly be going back and the next time we will be taking our family with us. Thanks again for making our weekend break so memorable.
