Fruit, bottled water and home made cookies in room every morning. Food excellent, staff very helpful and the leisure facilities. peace in a great bit of the dales definatley going back. pleasant atmosphere, staff made us feel very welcome. Use of leisure centre. Terrific food at the inn.food, peace and quiet. It's rare these days to feel really satisfied with accommodation in England - but this place is excellent value for money. I really enjoyed my stay in every way.Value for Money, Breakfast, Dinner and the access to the Health Club Facilities. Tranquility of the surroundings and politeness of staff. excellent leisure facilities, food very good,. Good size. Great food. Excellent location.extras- fruit, water, white robe. Very good standard of sevice and facilities within the room. Very goodleisure facilities and excellent food in the restaurant.Fantastic breakfast. leisure centre. The staff were polite, helpful and very professional throughout and perhaps more importantly looked as though they were enjoying their work. The vegetarian food was exceptional - rather then a token 1 or 2 dishes, the chef provided a comprehensive menu for us each night. It is all about making the guest feel special and the staff, both front of house and behind the scenes did exactly that. The room was good and the food was outstanding. The chef is tremendous! The staff was obliging and helpful but it wasn't obvious who was in charge which we found curious. The leisure club (swimming, exercise, sauna) next door was very good and an extra benefit.Staff couldn't have been any better. Loved the bathrobes, magazines, cookies, bottles of water etc....felt very spoilt. The situation was pleasantly rural. Staff were generally very helpful and willing to please.a very pleasant stay in a clean and comfortable hotel. Friendliness of staff, quality, and value of food.We have been before,so knew what to expect. It was very quiet this time.Even though we found out they are closing down indefinately, they still gave us the same service and quality of food. Breakfast was fabulous as was the evening meal. You also had free use of on site leisure club, but we did not take advantage in the end.Breakfast/meals in general and use of the adjacent leisure facilities. Location, friendly atmosphere and pleasnt comfortable room.Good situation and staff were very nice. Facilities in room were better than average. Choice of food for breakfast excellent. Friendly staff. Leisure facilities adjacent to the hotel were good and again, staff friendly. Peaceful location. The food was very good, the conservatory very nice to eat in, and we really enjoyed the leisure centre. Quality of food was good. Use of leisure centre very welcome. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. The use of the health spa. Excellent food and wine. Ease of all on site. Breakfast was superb. The service one night was not as good as only one person was waiting on tables. Staff poorly informed about local hiking possibilities. No atmosphere in the bar - but maybe it is buzzing at other times of the year - we were there for a few days before Xmas. A crack in the sink wasn't too appealing and the shower was poor - it wouldn't suit anyone taller than 5' 7". Residents should have reserved tables for dinner. They should not have to eat in the bar unless they choose to. Noisy bar in evenings at weekends.Nitpicking but perhaps a more a more comfortable lounge area. Not really but the room we were in although more than adequate for an odd night stay was a little on the small side and had no wardrobe.Dinner menu was limited, but breakfast was excellent. Our room was very close to the refigeration unit which was noisy when the window was open. Fortunately it wasn't warm enough that night to need to have the window open.Given double room rather than twin as booked. Not enough towels on the first day. Next day full compliment and fruit. Next day, large bottle of water and more fruit. Really wanted to stay longer to see what else we could have had! Food and drink very overpriced. We ate at the hotel once and it was very nice but not enough of it and expensive. The room was too small. Items on menu not always available. Breakfast items varied in avaialbility each day.. Would have liked to have seen someone in charge of the overall running of the hotel. Would have liked the hotel to have more atmosphere in the evening in the bar area. Blinds required at windows of conservatory. No 'real ale' available in the bar. Bed needs to be replaced. The key problem with this pub/hotel is that it is positioned in a mobile home site, and as such lacks any atmosphere which you might normally attribute to a Dales pub. There is no shortage of investment in facilities, and the restaurant has beautiful decor, and is apparently extremely good with AA Rosette stars, but we did not fancy eating in isolation.
