  Very lovely country house set in a quiet remote place next to a loch.The decoration is very refined in a modern Scottish style. The satff wasvery friendly. The dinner was great (all fresh and tasty). - Everything,it was perfect!

  I stayed in the attic room, which was very quaint and had a ton of character, I absolutely loved the room. The location of this hotel is perfect for relaxing or hiking, it is located right near the water with amazing views. It also has a bar and restaurant on site which allows you to sit, relax, eat and drink (with a good selection of cocktails,... hva folk sier » whiskey, and local brews. The staff was very nice. - The new owners were friendly and trying hard to make all the guests happy; this included 'a wee dram' of whisky on arrival and a bottle of sparkly when our table for dinner was not ready on time. Very approachable staff; fabulous environs, warm, clean and romantic buildings and gardens. Loved the sense of history; staying in Flora McDonald's house.

  This is a great place to stay. Good location just outside Stornoway. We stayed in the cottage behind the guest house and it was immaculate with great facilities. Donald is a very welcoming and excellent host. Thanks. - The owner was a great man. Founf myself sitting with him for an hour on the 1st night chatting away about the island, mainland ... hva folk sier » etc. I'd recommend this place for a great place to stay!!

  We reserved two rooms at the guest house, which is conveniently located near the ferry port at Stornoway. The rooms were large and spacious and well equipped. The guest house is obviously being redecorated, which will add to the value of the rooms. The breakfasts were excellent! Cooked to order and taken in a cafeteria adjoining the hotel. And the ... hva folk sier » staff and locals were very friendly! - we loved going into the little bakers/cafe for breakfast each morning. gave us a real taste of the island life so qaint.
