  Outstanding location for visiting the Cornwall area and Port Issac. The best restaurant within miles and extremely courteous service. The number one choice to stay if visiting Port Issac. It is about a 5 minutes drive to the Port Isaac parking areas which you will have to park in even if you stay in one of the 3 downtown hotels. Port Issac's is no... hva folk sier » w a crowded tourist town and it is refreshing to get away from all the noise and enjoy a great evening dinner and nights rest at the Longcross hotel. - Travelled specifically to Port Isaac to visit the 'Doc'! Big Australian Doc Martin fans. Village was quaint and to make it even more special, they were in the middle of filming the new series!!! The proximity from The Longcross Hotel to the harbour was perfect. The short drive gave you a real feel for the beautiful Cornwall countryside.   the staff were marvellous, nothing too much trouble for them. The food was simply wonderful. The room was large and well furnished with separate toilet and bathroom and a lovely view.   We booked a suite and it was worth every penny, great views great room great breakfast. We had a swim and had the pool to ourselves its a little dated and in need of some TLC but you would have to be a real winger to complain about this detail. The lifts worked fine but we opted to walk up the tastefully decorated stairs. Breakfast - Stayed for a weekend in February 2013 and we enjoyed every minute. Hotel very welcoming, clean, nice and warm. Restaurant is mega quirky and a joy to relax in. Leisure area utilised, sauna excellent combined with dips in the pool (Which was a bit fresh!) The breakfast was - delicious. Plenty of choice to be had both hot and cold. All in all a very enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will book again without hesitation!
