We were only there for one night and did not eat in the evening as we were in the castle at a wedding. Room was fine and the bed was really cosy! The breakfast was good and well presented. The service was excellent - nice surroundings and relaxed atmosphere. Would definately stay again and would recommend. -

I was given an overflow room at the hotel, which was actually a very quaint 1 bedroom cottage, a stones throw from the hotel. The room was well presented and very clean.
The full english or should I say Scottish breakfast was very tasty and filling.

bed is probably one of the comfiest I've ever slept on. The bathroom

Very friendly welcome with tea and cakes at the ready on arrival and range of drinks available in the evening in the lounge. Comfortable fairly spacious ground floor room. Very good parking. I have stayed here a number of times on business. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and are beautifully decorated. The bathroom suites are 'old fashioned' but all coordinate with each bedrooms colour scheme. I personally think it works really well. Having stayed in 5 different rooms so far, I was always intrigued to see the style of each room! The dinner menu is very affordable...try the Buccleuch burger...it is delicious. Pretty much everything. From the lovely personal greeting email through to the wonderful breakfast before we departed. I have stayed in a lot of places which were far more expensive and not seen such high standards of service, cleanliness', cooking and lovely décor. All this in a glorious setting.
