The Hotel is within walking distance of the centre of the town, but far enough out to be quiet. I enjoyed my first stay there so much, Ive revisited 3 years in a row. Although I havent made use of all the facilities, they do have their own laundry, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Ive always found the staff polite, friendly and helpful. -

The owner and manager of the Aquarius B&B was extremely good at giving us all the help we needed, from trying to find the B&B in the dark and driving rain to what to expect on our first surfing experience. She is good at making you feel comfortable whatever time of day it is, and nothing was too much trouble.
The spa bath that came with our room was fantastic, as was the breakfasts. The rooms are bright and comfortable beds.

Location was excellent, 2 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes from town. Stunning views of the beach and golf club from balcony rooms. Bed incredibly comfortable. Easy hotel parking too, for £10. I originally picked the Hotel California because I liked the name, wanted to stay in Newquay and the price is a good value.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Interiors are beautiful. The dining room had lots of windows, so you can enjoy the scenery while dining. Beautiful view of the bay from the outside deck. The outdoor pool looked inviting, but the temperature was little to cool for me to try it.
If I get a chance to go back to the U.K., I will definitely stay at the Hotel California
