On the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, The White Swan dates back to the 1800s and is set on the A46 between Grimsby and Lincoln. Wi-Fi is free throughout the building, and there is free private parking on site. Stylish in design, each room has blackout curtains and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Features also include a work desk and facilities for making tea and coffee. A cooked or continental breakfast is provided each morning, served in The White Swan’s eating area. It is about a 15-minute drive to the famous long-distance footpath known as Viking Way. Market Rasen Racecourse is a 15-minute walk, and Lincoln city centre is about a 25-minute drive away.

Friendly staff, could not do enough for us. Room was spotless and bed comfy. As it was Saturday, we were made aware of the live band night, as soon as we go there, this is a pub after all. People should not complain about that, it was quiet once it finished. The breakfast was the best ever, nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again. Lovely friendly staff. The pub is B&B only, but when we returned from a trip to Lincoln on the train with our own food, we were provided with plates, cutlery and condiments. Breakfasts were superb as were the room facilities. We ate out at the Advocate Arms nearby which was also excellent - both places had real ale which is a must!.
alle vurderinger » The room was modern and free from clutter. The shower room was a very good size and had been refurbished. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There was a good choice of menus for breakfast and it was excellent. Very good location for the racecourse and access to pubs and bistro. Greeted on arrival by a lovely, friendly member of staff. The room was modern, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast in a pub was a novelty and a first for me, but was pleasantly surprised by a great breakfast and great service. I would definitely recommend a stay here. The staff especially Alison, faultless, couldn't do enough for me and I also left with a lovely packed lunch! As a seasoned rep who's used to staying away all the time, this was genuinely one of the best places I've stopped in, value for money wise it can't be faulted. Lovely rooms, lovely staff, awesome poker night on a Tuesday run by a top bloke! Awesome breakfast! All round great hospitality! And a great price! I drove an extra 20 miles each way from site in Grimsby to stay there and would do it all again.. Can't ask for more.. The White Swan was welcoming and the staff were very friendly. We had a room with a shower and the bathroom was of a good size, the room was very clean and tidy. I would recommend the White Swan to anyone who was staying in or visit the the area of Market Rasen. Everything to set you up for the day. The bed and room where really comfortable, the shower was fantastic after a long ride on my motorbike. The breakfast was to write home about. Would go again. We had room overlooking smoking area at the back, which meant the security light kept going on and off and shining into our room, not very blacked out, black out curtains. Only issue, but not a major one, the heating could have come on a bit earlier in the morning. There were no evening meals. The location on the high street. The road noise from the front room, but did not spoil the stay at all. We stayed three days and a very minor point was the room would perhaps be too small for a longer stay. Room 1 which I have stayed in before still has a patch of damp in one corner, also it is right above where the smokers congregate outside and rabbit away!. Ok.. it is noisy on music nights but its over reasonably early. The benefits outway this. Noise from live bands. No evening food in the pub. Had to go to a nearby pub. Nothing. Nothing. Market Rasen didnt have much to do in it. Nothing really, an evening meal option would have been nice but plenty of facilities nearby. Just a bit noisy if facing the front street but once late night pubs had shut it was okay. Live music on a Saturday night in the bar downstairs. Not a problem if you're intending to be in the bar or elsewhere during the evening though. Bedroom did feel a little cramped but other than that and after all a bedroom is just for sleeping in, an exceptional place to stay !!!!!. Market Rasen could be a little limited for evening food but you can find something. Pub looks a little tired but staff said its being refurbished next year. Would have been nice for cereals to be included with cooked breakfast. Car parking. No space for visitors returning later in the evening as pub customers took the spaces. Street parking limited. Noise from the band in the bar went on a little too long for my liking, 11.00 would have been OK, 11.30 was pushing it on a school night. The live music night.but we were warned. Not made clear that it is bed and breakfast although restaurants nearby. Bar noise intrusive. didnt stay long enough. Nothing. Shower ran cold for a few minutes ' one point !. Didn,t look too good from outside, but is being upgraded, so all positive really. The breakfast was very good but the coffee let it down. They cannot currently take credit card payments, except by using the facilities at the Advocate Arms, a sister establishment. It would help them greatly if they could take card payments in their own right. Exterior of premises look a bit "tired" but understand this will be attended to in 2013/14. No food served at the hotel. I had been warned about the live music (though didn't appreciate just how loud it would be!), but there was lots of 'street noise' outside, well into the early hours. Nothing. Not applicable. could not fault anything. Noise from the road. The noise from the road. the window could do with replacing. the noise from the pub below is an issue if you want an early night. Only complaint was bed too soft.
