I'll start by saying that I saw my parents' hotel in Mayfair, The Millenium, which is supposed to be upscale...which it was, but for double the price, their room was only slightly larger than ours at the Hyde Park Boutique. It was clean, and included lovely coffees and teas in the room (for some reason, in european cities, the instant coffees taste so much more fresh than here in the U.S.) The staff wasn't warm and fuzzy, but they were very helpful and accomodating. I stayed two times in the same hotel within a week, once for 5 days and
once for one night only. It is very important what room you will have,
there are major differences in quality. This review is about the single
room on the fourth flour which I had for 5 nights: the hotel is newly
done, everything is clean and in top state. The stairs to the 3rd and
4th floor are extremely steep and narrow, but staff will carry your
luggage if you ask, they are very friendly; also the fire swing doors
are na.
Very good hotel! We really enjoyed staying there! Not far from two tube
stations - bayswater and queensway just in a five minutes walk. A lot of
cafe, pubs, gift shops and supermarket around with a good price. Just
renovated hotel provides clean rooms and the whole hotel territory.
Towels were changed daily, linens every three days. Very friendly and
helpful staff. You can ask them for a adapter for British plugs, to lift
your luggage upstairs,a map of London or something else- they will
always.
Hyde Park Boutique Hotel is just 15 min walking from Paddington and the Heathrow Express. The hop on hop off-buses stop at the fuel station in Bayswater road only five minutes away. Excellent for people who like to start the day with 5km running in Hyde Park or eat dinner in pulsating Queensway. Five min to Bayswater and Queensway Underground stations. Large and nice triple room with a small bathroom with both ordinary shower and "rain shower". Nice balcony for our and neighbour room on first f.
Extremely good value for money. Room was very clean and silent. Bathroom
was in perfect condition. I didn't try the breakfast. Wifi coverage
is excellent in the whole building. The hotel is newly furbished. I was
given a room in the basement, it was not noisy at all, contrary to what
other reviewers say. Maybe I was just lucky. There are two underground
stations nearby, Bayswater and Queensway. They can be reached in 5 or 7
mins by walk. The Whiteleys shopping center is just around the corner

The staff were absolutely incredible. Very friendly and very helpful. We had a huge room, although it was under the breakfast room and we could here breakfast goers it was fantastic for our 18 month old daughter. She had room to play in the room and nobody would hear her cry. It is only a 5 minute walk to Bayswater tube station and 3 minutes to shops and restaurants. All in all a wonderful experience. Thank you Holiday Hotel!.
Staff at the reception are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a tripple room on the first floor which was very spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is very good,5min walk from hyde park, 5min walk from bayswater station and 8min walk to queensway station. Also queensway street where alot of restaurants and souvenir shops are is just 3min walk away from the hotel. Would definately recommend this hotel.
We had a really great time in Holiday house. This hotel has been recently refurbished. It's very clean, warm and comfortable. Plus, the staff is very helpful and welcoming. Moreover, the hotel is well-located, just 2min walk to the main street in Bayswater where you can find many shops, restaurants, supermarkets... in short, everything you need.
The location of this hotel is amazing, two blocks walk to Hyde Park. Also, it's about a four block walk from the Paddington Station terminal which is the drop off location if you are taking the Heathrow Express. Both convenient for arrival and departure. Amenities are nice, staff is nice and hotel is well kept.
This hotel is excellent, the staff are very helpful, the rooms are clean, airy, comfortable and lovely soft furnishings. It is 5 minutes walk from Bayswater underground and there are numerous restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops nearby. There is free Wi-Fi and a hairdryer and iron etc can be borrowed at no charge.
Great location, Bayswater station is 5 minutes walk. Breakfast is continental and it's fine. Free Wifi is a Great Plus. The hotel was just renovated a month ago and everything is new and clean. The staffs are very helpful. Totally great value for money. Will definitely come again for next visit to London.
Great location (close to two tube lines, lots of cafes & shops, safe area, close to the Museums).
First we were given a small room w/o wardrobe which didn't fit our 10 nights stay but then it was changed to a large one. Thanks to the great staff!
The room, bath, towels are clean; service is good.
Good location near to paddington station (but need to walk for about 20mins) with walking access to major shopping areas like oxford street.
At night, the hotel has easy access to restaruant and convenient stores.
No lift but the staffs were helpful enough to carry the luggage up and down for you.
Opened on January 2013 it is newly renovated and that's the catch.Very clean & spacious room, the stafff was very friendly and the price (including a continental breakfast) was unbeatable.
The area is very safe and classy. Bayswater and Paddington metro stations are within 5-10 minutes walk.
Single room was not a box-size cupboard as would be the case in most hotels of this size. It was new and thus the fixtures and furnishings were pretty immaculate. The shower was fantastic. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were an added bonus.
It was a very clean, well decorated hotel. We needed one night in London to go to the Royal Albert Hall and this very convenient. For a hotel in that vicinity it proved excellent value for money. The staff were professional, polite and helpful.
The service from beginning to end was excellent. Stayed in room 302 plenty of room and very modern and clean. Very quiet and excellent for Tube station to all areas of London. Would definitely stay again. Many thanks for a very enjoyable stay.
The hotel was clean and within a bus ride of the city. The underground was within a walk. The staff was outstanding and very courteous and friendly (especially Lucia). They were very accomodating. The hotel was in a very quiet area of London.
Extremely good value for money. Room was very clean and really quiet. Bathroom was in perfect condition. Wifi coverage is excellent in the hotel. Great location, close to two underground stations and loads of restaurants and bars.
The staff were excellent especially the guy who had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. over the 5 weeks away we stayed in the Baywater area 3 times, twice in Inverness Terrace but the hotel was by far the best.
excellent staff
very clean room (and i'm very fussy!)
great location a short walk from Paddington station and Bayswater underground.
nice and quiet. I requested a room high up and quiet and that's what I got, very happy.
Newly refurbished rooms- colour schemes pleasant. Good location, easy access to tube stations, restaurants, shops and kensington gardens. Easy to find, building itself has character- good price for the location.
We booked for a couple of days so we could go out a few nights in central London. It was a good experience. Was surprised at how high the ceilings were. Nice place and would go again.
Close to Paddington and Hyde Park. Cozy rooms, good facilities, friendly staff (the guy helped me take my suitcase upstairs). Clean and quiet place, very nice and safe neighborhood.
Friendly staff; willing to help to move the bulky luggage to the basement (our room was at the basement)
Room is clean and the hotel is new; Good wifi connection and free of charge.
Very nice hotel, Clean, Seems very new.
Great location only 5 minute walk from queensway station on the central line.
We stayed in room 402 had a great view and it wasn't small.
This is a recently opened hotel. It means everything is new and it is a
good value for money. The staff is friendly, at least if you compare it
with the british standards.
Good size room , even the single bed one / new bathroom appliances / friendly , helpful staff.
A rare combination of Central London location and quite/ peaceful at night.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was warm, super clean
and comfortable. The location is great, close to everything and so many
places to eat nearby.
Great location, clean, modern, value for money, friendly staff. ... There are plenty of similar hotels in the area and this is by far the best one.
Very friendly staff who would do anything possible to assist.
Accommodating requests
Well maintained clean rooms
Private and comfortable beds.
helpful staff , excellent location , luxurious rooms , clean , comfortable beds, very quiet area , optional continental breakfast( as extra).
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value for money, the location only 5 minutes from underground. Would definitely stay again.
Ideal location for Paddington and Heathrow Express - about 10 mins walk away. Very quiet street. Very good internet connection in room.
Clean Room, comfortable beds, lovely fresh decor, friendly staff, quiet street (for London), well located near tube and restaurants.
Fantastic value for money - the overall comfort took me completely by surprise, it's leagues above other hotels in the price band.
Very clean. Quiet. Comfort. Good decor. Quality of furniture and fixtures. Free wifi. Good location. Luxury feel. Great value.
Good location in a nice and quiet area but close to several tube stations and Paddington station.
Helpful and efficient staff.
Everything was very clean and new. The bathroom was small but perfectly functional and new. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The room we were allocated was lovely, it was very big and had a balcony also.
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Clean room, good shower-room with monsoon shower. 5-6 mins' walk to Queenway tube for easy access into central London.
Close to both Paddington station and Queensway. Newly renovated rooms. Spotless, quiet thanks to double glazed windows.
Beautifully decorated smart period hotel Long way up to the top so help with bags appreciated Quiet city location.
staff very helpful
Excellent service and hotel very clean
Would certainly stay again - great value for money.
Efficient friendly staff who are anxious to please. Excellent standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Nice spacious double room for a cheap price in London. New decor. Comfortable and easy stay. Helpful staff.
very clean and tidy hotel, warm and cosy. Great shower, plenty of hot water. Helpful and friendly staff.
The staff was great and the rooms were clean and bright. Also great location for accessing the tube.
i liked the location very much.the staff was very helpful.the room was very good and at the 3rd floor.
Very clean, bright room
Excellent staff at Reception. All details processed quickly and efficiently.
It's not very convenient to the tube stops....I mean, when you're having a leisure day, it's one thing...but be prepared to walk...it's easily almost a mile away. And seriously do your homework about subway and bus fares. In some cases, you're not saving that much instead of taking a cab.
There is no lift.
The interior will not win any prices since the walls are without any "art" or illustrations. A few of them would have given the room much more " ambiance" and atmosphere. I would have loved to have a refridgerator. A toilletbrush plus better light on the bathroom would have been nice. (Hard to shave when the light comes from behind).
Didn't have a great view (being in the basement) but did still have windows, so not a huge deal!.
There is no AC in the room, but it wasn't a problem for us as we did not need it, the weather was very cool and lovely when we were there. However, a good fan is provided.
Rooms and bathrooms are teeny, but bear in mind that you are in London. Plus, there's no lift in the building, but that didn't bother us.
Not a hotel for a family to go to as it is not a full scale hotel. Not really a negative, just a head's up.
The breakfast choice is limited with continental style only but I personally don't usually have breakfast and there are other places nearby should you want a full cooked option.
No kitchen hence no restaurant for food. Anyway lots of eatery nearby and it's not a big deal.
No hooks (so you should keep towels in the room) & toilet brush in the bath.
Poor breakfast (milk, juice, tea, some cereals, bakery, toasts). The good sandwich with eggs & ham (from pret a manger, for example) is needed. Because of that can't say it's value for money cause we were forced to have breakfast outside.
There is no elevator service. There were no towel bars or hooks in toilet.
Would have liked to have had a light about the shelf which acted as a desk top.
Everything was excellent just would suggest that the wardrobe be moved onto the wall on the right as you go into the room to make it look and feel even bigger.
The room I had was a third floor walk up but it was a very long and narrow three flights up. There were not as many restaurants near the hotel as I would have liked.
Prefer full english breakfast to continental.
the only negative for some travellers (I was perfectly happy with it) is there is no lift so if you have a problem with steep stairs request a room on lower levels.
The bathroom, although new, was a bit small, but fine for us. Also ,a room safe would have been nice.
There is no elevator and the corridors upstairs are narrow. It was fine for me, but my bag is cabin size. With a bigger bag you might find it really hard to get to your room, if it's on the 4th floor like mine was.
Ventilation not so good at basement; although there are windows but we are at the basement so dare not to open
Location slightly far from Paddington station (15mins walk with luggages and 10mins if no).
No lift, if you don't want to walking up the stairs every time ask for a room in the 1st on 2nd floor.
Breakfast is ok, but all the food is sweet. The breakfast room is small
and sometimes you need to wait a couple of minutes before finding an
empty place. Not a big problem.
Being on the 3rd floor, would have liked to use a lift when carrying my suitcase up and down the stairs . But it's good exercise otherwise :)
The only recommendation to make this hotel excellent is to change the laundry company as it lets down all the hard work done by your cleaning staff.
Breakfast was very skimpy, no fresh fruit and no cooked option. You can
eat breakfast more cheaply at many places within walking distance. The
breakfast lets the hotel down.
no lift.
No safe in room or in reception, no lift and 90 steps up to the room! No fire notices in rooms. No hairdryers in rooms, but they have them if you ask.
The loo is in a "challenging" position in the bathroom!.
No ironing facilities in room. No aircon.
The last two stairs to the top floor was quite narrow and a bit annoying with bags. But on the other hand, it's just one single walk up and one down with bags.
Four floors but no lift!.
No lift, no fridge, otherwise not much.
A limited and uninteresting choice of food for breakfast. Television during breakfast is unnecessary and intrusive.
Not much.
No hooks in bathroom, not enough drawers in room, poorly sited toilet roll holder, shower door does'nt move very easily, needs another chair if possible.
The room was smaller than I expected, but overall comfortable if you're planning on spending most of your time exploring the city.
Nothing.
