Very nice and helpful staff (I asked quite a lot of times for help/advice, they have always given a solution). Clean and tidy rooms (I think they are also the 'spacious' type in London). Wardrobe (+desk +chair +silent hair-drier +warm blankets), free Wi-Fi, TV, and breakfast included in the price of the room. Really comfortable bed. All in all, it is a cozy accomodation, I would definitely choose it again if I would be staying in London in the future. alle vurderinger »
Very friendly and helpful staff. We had our 9 month old with us and they
upgraded us to a bigger, less noisy room for no extra charge. Very clean
and comfortable with a nice breakfast. Great location for us as we have
family in Balham. Only a 10 minute walk to Balham tube station. Would
definitely go back.
Beautiful removated period property in a perfect location for an evening at the Hideaway club just down the road in Streatham but equally only a a few stops on the tube for all that central London offers.
A real gem of a find and one I can't wait to go back and visit again :).
Friendly staff, decent breakfast, lovely room (clean, cosy). Though we
left for the city at 10am and return home afterwards, we were allowed to
use the car park till we drove off at 5pm. It's the second time I
stayed there (first time was 3years ago) and I intend to return.
Staff were genuinely friendly and very accommodating. The property is by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. Breakfast is great and there is also a nifty coffee machine should you want an espresso 24/7. Very cosy and comfortable property, will stay here again.
Lovely charming and clean hotel. Even a fan was provided in the room. Didn't have time for breakfast so can't comment. Great guest info and support. Good transport links and bus to Balam station right outside if you dont want to walk. Will definitely stay again.
We received a friendly-welcome and helpful staff at reception and at breakfast.
The room and bed were comfortable. Good sized bathroom. Close to some nice restaurants that are not too expensive (10min walk to tube and shops/restaurants/bars).
The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location of our room on the top floor was quiet. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
If we needed to stay in this area again we would definitely see if Balham Lodge had vacancies.
Had a lovely room on the front. Clean and minimalist with blinds and old sash windows. Was able to check out early at 6 and left my bike safely in courtyard ready for my London Brighton ride the next day.
Very convenient, with good access, for road and rail. Nice, smart room with all mod cons and excellent value. Friendly staff.
Immaculately clean, pleasantly decorated Edwardian house. A winner!.

- Newly refurbished rooms
- Very clean

- Frequent, direct tube to city
- Excellent staff hospitality
- Not fancy, but great value for money.

Charming B&B, friendly staff; communal space (inside and outside) to relax outside of your bedroom; very clean and comfortable.
The staff are lovely, very accommodating and friendly. And very helpful. The rooms are gorgeous and quiet. A very pretty lodge.
Freindly staff and very accomodating when accomapnied with two cycles as
part of our trip.

Our room was very nice and the atmosphere in the hotel was nice. The breakfast was very good and hotel's staff was so kindly.
Spotlessly clean, fairly near for train, comfortable and quiet.

Gorgeous room, comfortable beds, excellent staff.

Very Clean and Comfertable bed.
The breakfast was excellent.
Lovely room and comfy bed!.
Friendly, helpful staff.
every thing is great!.
The hot water in the shower takes literally minutes to arrive, and the walls are a little thin (but as I have read, it is very general in London). Balham underground station is a little (like 8 minutes) walk from here, can be a little far for those who come here to see only the city.
Anything at all. I missed my daily porridge but must admit I didn't
ask for it.
Bathroom was a bit small. More hooks in bathroom would alleviate lack of space :).
Nothing.
Nothing.
The room was a bit on the small side, especially height-wise in places due to being in the eaves.
Tv reception on digital channels not great.
- Room was a bit small
- As in all London hotels, room walls are thin and do not block noise from other rooms.
This was our 3rd visit to hotel but our 1st time in room 17, it was nice & big & clean but lots of traffic noise woke us early! Sunday not so bad as less traffic.
No elevator (lift). Could be a problem for some, just an inconvenience for us with some heavy bags. I am sure the staff would have helped if we had asked.
the shower was very, very small.
A little far from the centre of London.
Would have preferred more pillows and a bath in the double room en-suite. The bathroom was very dark with no natural light.
When faced with early start, no ability to grab some kind of breakfast,
even if cereal.
Room was located near to reception desk and heard every noise from people coming in and out of premises.
Our bathroom was very tiny, buy its ok, because the house is very old.
Nothing.
very noisy, you could hear every step in the room above us, it woke me up. You could even hear people in other rooms snoring. cooked part of the breakfast wasn't very nice apart from the scrambled egg and the dining area was too small.
A bit of a hike from Balham tube with bags.
The shower is too small.
There was nothing I disliked.
Booking hotel through somebody else , I think all bookings should be done direct to hotel .
Noisy bed
Very warm room
No room in shower/toilet.
- medicine chest (my friend got a sting (wasp or so) but couldn't get first aid)
- small dining room requires leaving asap after breakfast.
Beds are on springs not box springs and not much back support.
No bad points.
The noise of the extractor fan in bathroom.
Nothing!.
traffic noise at front of house.
Traffic noise in front room.
staff woke me by banging around cleaning at 6am on sunday ruining my sleep before a huge journey. Was cleaning at that time needed?.
'Hot' water for washbasin was rather cools - yet the shower was fine. Staff accept this comment when I checked out.
Small shower room.
We were in room 2 beside the front door and reception. It was very noisy people arriving late at night,Talking loudly with the receptionist .Door bell ringing,Then we were awake very early with workers and people arriving at 6am,They were also very loud talking and starting work in the kitchen,Their voices were extremely loud,I will not be reccomending this Lodge to anyone that needs a good night sleep.
Room 4 was a bit noisy as was next to the dining room.
Unable to release hand basin plug.
