Ideal for a relaxing break. Room with spectacular views and location perfect for easy access to the beautiful Dales . First class accommodation. Room of good proportions tastefully decorated and furnished. The en-suite well equipped with complimentary toiletries. Achieved a fine balance between stylish quality and the feeling of comfortable homely accommodation. It is obvious that the proprietors really care about the quality of customer experience. Every member of staff made us feel welcome a. alle vurderinger »
the hotel is set in the idyllic surroundings of the dales.the staff are exceedingly friendly and efficient. the food was amazing, all the ingredients are locally sourced and carefully prepared into fantastic meals. the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
The room was large and comfortable and nicely decorated. Our breakfast was excellent each morning , good choice and nicely presented .
We ate in the hotel each evening , mostly from the early evening menu which had good choices of all three courses. All the food was delicious .We went walking from the village which is very nice.
The hotel was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I stayed for two nights for my 40th Birthday and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff were fantastic, the food was amazing. We loved the friendliness and comfort of the bar. Our room was warm and comfortable. The views are stunning. We would definitely stay again.
The owners and their staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food and the service was also excellent, as was the the beer and wine selection available. For these reasons my wife and I would both recommend The Queens Head to anyone looking for a nice B & B in the North Yorkshire area.
Peaceful comfortable country pub! Lovely big room with sofa to relax on. Delicious home made biscuits, all very clean. Excellent staff and a delicious freshly cooked dinner. We enjoyed our stay very mcuh and will be back soon. Thank you to all.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Quality and attention to detail in the accommodation and first class food.
All the benefits of a hotel with a gourmet pub. Views over Wensleydale are breathtaking at all times of the year.
We keep coming back.
The service was excellent; very friendly and helpful. The food was also excellent. We could have stayed a fortnight and eaten something different we liked every night. Breakfast meant you didn't have to eat for the rest of the day.
The room was more a mini apartment with a lounge, large bathroom, beautiful bedroom and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was second to none - freshly cooked with all local ingredients - would defiantly recommend.
The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The food for the both the breakfast and the evening meal was top quality. The accommodation was very clean, well presented and very comfortable.
lovely location , nestling amongst working farms and private residences, open views from room , friendly staff , good local sourced food, cooked beautifully , everything done with care and attention.
This was a very relaxing hotel with great food and helpful staff. It's a bit out off the beaten track but well worth the diversion and within striking distance of so many places. Highly recomended.
Very quiet and restful. Proprietor responded to an initial complaint
about blood on the duvet cover by immediately dealing with the problem
and not charging for the first night of our stay.
A lovely pub with a very welcoming and friendly staff, excellent food and service. The rooms have been renovated since we last stayed and are very clean, attractive and comfortable.

Very good food.
everything.
very good menu and well presented food.
comfortable room.
There were no issues which we considered detrimental to our stay.
in a word,nothing.
The night lights outside our window were a bit bright ,it would be better if they were on a timer to go off at midnight .
On our second day the boiler broke in our room meaning that we had no hot water so I had to take a cold shower. However we explained this to staff who were very helpful and we were not charged for the second night of our stay.
We thought that they need to pay a little more attention to the servicing of the rooms each day and replenishment of tea and coffee facilities and biscuits etc.
Also in our bathroom the extractor fan was not working at all which led to the bathroom being full of steam and condensation when we showered.
We couldn't stay longer.
Nothing.
Waiting a touch too long for our evening meal but it was Saturday night, but was cooked to order, fine dining food and service.
Nothing.
nothing, it was brilliant.
We only had one night there,
would have liked more.
we had to leave in the morning.
Nothing really.
there was nothing we did not like.
Nothing we did not like.
No faults to report.
Nothing really, if I was being picky, the exterior of The Queens Head could do with decorating, it's looking s little tired!.
Lack of WiFi is a big loss for me.
No wi fi available.
Lighting in bedroom inadequate for reading;
Breakfast did not match standard of evening meal;
Address should state name of village, nr. Bedale;.
How quickly my time there passed!.
Can't think of a thing wrong.
Having to leave.
I thought maybe only being able to book in after 5.30 pm a little late for people who had travelled some distance.
Lounge bar very cold when coal fire went out!.
nothing.
a little pricey at £80 ..could be more like £70.
nothing.
