Breakfast also excellent (you could order classic English, continental breakfast and even salmon), wi-fi, TV provided but not so interesting because nature outside is very beautiful.

If going to the Lakes, forget about Windermere - We stayed in room 8 and it was just as amazing as the pictures we saw on here. Huge walk in shower and free standing bath tub. Very comfortable bed and astonishing view from the private balcony. Tim and his staff were very welcoming and attentive. Jake the dog was adorable.   We booked a 4-poster with Jacuzzi for a last-minute weekend break. We were not disappointed. Trevor, the owner made us feel really welcome, showed us around the property and took us up to our top floor spacious en-suite room.   We liked everything! The suites are perfect, with lovely appointments. The owners are exceptionally helpful and friendly. It's very very clean. It's close to everything at Waterhead and only a mile from Ambleside, with good bus service to everywhere in the Lake District.   This was our second visit to the Waterhead. An excellent hotel. Luxurious but comfortable. Super food and friendly staff. Fantastic views! - we enjoyed evreything about our stay, location was beautiful, hotel was lovely, and restaurant was excellent
