The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend. Very beautiful hotel in perfect location at the end of Princess Street
and not far from Calton Hill. Ideal for romantic walkings around the top
Edinburgh attractions. We spent there lovely 3 nights during Easter,
everything was good, staff very polite and helpful. Beautiful room with

Sentralt beliggende - The decor was great in the hotel. Was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. It felt tremendously homely and the bed was so comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was great. Breakfast choice was varied and of a high standard and the hotel itself is a wonderful Georgian building. Some of the reviews I had read portrayed the hotel badly, I would say totally ignore this - it is a great hotel.

The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. Loved the space the apartment had! Was more a house than a mansion! Also the facilities we had, dishwasher,washing machine etc and the fact they left us products to use facilities like dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, rubber gloves. -

Paul and Deborah were excellent hosts - very friendly and informative. The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping was excellent. Room including breakfast was a real bonus. The hotel is in a quiet area but still only a short walk to city centre. I have already recommended staying at Abbey Hotel to my work colleagues.
