  I read other reviews after booking online and I thought I shouldn't have booked, but when we arrived I found it a nice budget hotel. Services are basic but not bad for that price. We were a family of 5 and we were given room 27 in the basement which was clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean. The weather wasn't too hot so we didn't have a problem... hva folk sier » with closing the windows to avoid the noise outside but in hot weather I guess this will be a problem. Two minutes walk to the beach which is good fo - After seeing many bad reviews, I took a risk, paying only £30 for a double room for one night. It payed off, check in took 3 mins maximum, hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, clean, and just what I needed after a night out in Bournemouth. Perfect hotel if you're socially visiting bournemouth's nightlife, or if you fancy a last minute stay. Like I said, I took a risk, and it payed off. I would defiantly stay here again.

  The location was ideal. Also that they don't have hen and stag parties, which made a very pleasant stay. In addition, love the full English breakfast. Very yummy. - Lovely four poster bed, ideally located - within walking distance to everywhere. Lovely hotel! Lovely couple running it!

  I did like the price. The hotel is in a perfect location, you can walk anywherr from the beach to oceanarium or bournemouth baloon within 5-10 mintes, there is asda and subway nearby. So you can easly get the essencial bits and bobs that u have forgoten to take for your holiday, or pop in to subway for a quick sub. Thats all about location from me... hva folk sier » . Staff, comfort, location, cleanliness, fresh towels daily, in room tea/coffee making facilities topped up daily. Jorge was welcoming, friendly with good advice on where to go and how to get there. He prepared an early 7am breakfast and ordered a taxi for us on the morning of our departure as we had to catch an early train to London. Overall a very pleasent vacation and if we return to Bourne mouth we will definatly stay in the Shirley again.

The room (12) was large, well set up for a family of 1 or 2 adults and 2 children as there is a king size double bed and two singles, with a pannelled wall separating adults from children, whilst still being in the same room. Hotel very clean and comfy for a family break.

  We stayed for 3 nights last week, and can honestly say it was fantastic, wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel was well positioned in Bournemouth with excellent facilities, 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Ideal fo - Excellent location - as it is only a short 10 minutes walk into Bournemouth. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and the fitness and spa facilities are fantastic. I made use of the fitness room, swimming pool, poolside jacuzzi, steam room and sauna on each of the days my partner and I stayed at the Meyrick Park Lodge. I would definitely recommend this hotel with its brilliant facilities to my family and friends.
