  The location is superb! I was impressed with the variety of the breakfast selections. The hotel offered a 20% discount on the parking garage, which was only 1 block away from the hotel. - The staff went above and beyond. When they found out our 8 year old daughter was with us, they added a double bed for not extra charge.

  Great location and convenient for pubs cafes, shops and sight seeing. Our room situated at the back was quiet and we had a good night's sleep. Very helpful and cheerful receptionists. The fire-alarm went off on one occasion, firemen turned up and declared it as a false alarm, at least we felt safe. The service wasfabulous and the hotel was fantastic - will be returning - I travel an awful lot and I must say the Scotsman is one of the best hotels I have ever been in.   The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend.
