I loved everything. With 9 people ranging from 11 to 78 yo, we booked two family rooms and one premium twin. Rooms were clean, furniture new -ish, bright, comfortable. such a clean, well appointed hostel, fresh and modern with quality fittings. Really ipressed with the bathroom facilities in the dorm. Nice cafe on ground floor. Also easy to find and not too far from Princes St/bus/train stations. Plus there was no rowdiness from other guests. I highly rate this hostel

Very clean, very smart and I would thoroughly recommend. I travelled with my two boys (11 and 12) for the Open at Muirfield and was great for access to Edinburgh Waverley whilst being right next to Calton Hill and 15 mins from Arthur's Seat (bottom not top) for the great views of Edinburgh. -

Definitely best choice for Edinburgh. Have stayed at Balmoral 3 times already, and every time was an exceptionally pleasant experience. The apartment space was luxurious, comfortable, very well thought out and utilised - with modern open-plan living in mind, balcony with fold back door to seamlessly bring the outside space in, serviced to a high standard daily; friendly and very helpful staff. The breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice. Everything was served to your table which was nice but I actually prefer a buffet where you can choose what you want as you eat. attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room.
The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added
extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers. We

This facility is ideal for a multiple night stay. With full kitchen, bath, and laundry facilities in a luxury apartment setting, it was an ideal home-away-from-home getaway. The value of the apartment was far greater than that of a hotel room in our opinion. The staff was helpful in every way and the amenities provided were excellent. It is close to the bus lines and also easy to walk to many of the lovely places in Leith and Edinburgh.
