  My husband and I stayed at the South Place Hotel for a week's vacation. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week. There are a number of nearby pubs, and a Marks & Spencer across the street if you require groceries. Within 10 minutes walk from Liverpool station when figure out the way and actually another station Moorgate is just around the corner. With marks and spender just opposite to the hotel, it makes it more perfect! As can buy snacks / bottle water easily on our way back to hotel. :) - Staff: Great!   Excellent room with everything that a business traveler would need. Huge bed and luxury bedding and pillows. Polite staff and attentive to needs. Great location for business in London; easy for tube to anywhere (from Barbican, five minutes walk away). Last minute rate made it very reasonable cost for the undoubted quality. . - I had a wonderful... hva folk sier » three day break at the Montcalm. The location suited my plans and public transport was easily accessible for wandering into the city centre. Very comfortable and modern rooms. Older building repurposed so some quirkiness (corridors) but it just adds to the fun of the outing for me.

  The whole package, location, staff, food was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly. STK restaurant is fantastic with the best steak I have ever tasted.
