  Staff were very friendly and helpful. The downstairs rooms were lovely, it's easy to see what a great house the building must once have been. The room was excellent value for money, especially as the price included breakfast, and the location is good, only 10 mins walk down the hill into Bath. Don't let your satnav take you through the scary backs... hva folk sier » treets with steep roads, the hotel is easily reached by bigger and less scary ones! - V friendly staff - good setting up the hill from the city but with a fine view from upper floors - bedroom was functional clean comfortable with a v powerful shower - and although the decor was a little tired and dated it added to the overall feel of an old English hotel from years ago - so whilst that could seem negative in fact it added to the fun of the one night stay.

The service provided by the staff was impeccable - which is a first in my experience! All the staff were warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Nothing was too much trouble - they provided a free parking permit for us and even moved thier own car so that we could park closer. It was the best b&b we stayed at during the trip. Room #5 was a hike to get to on the third floor but worth it. The room was tastefully decorated with just enough space for our needs. The shower only bathroom was spacious and modern. The room was quite quiet with a great view.
