  When I realized that London hotel rooms are very, very small, I found the 9 Hertford Street apartment hotel. It's location is excellent: just off Piccadilly st., very close to Green Park underground station that brings you anywhere (including to and from Heathrow airport with the Piccadilly line) , a 25 minutes walk to Oxford st. The bedroom has a large bed and plenty of storage space, the ki - Great location close to everything the city has to offer yet nestled in a nice village setting. Friendly staff who welcome feedback. Very comfortable hotel, good kitchen, comfortable beds, cabs at your front door and staff who still carry bags to your room and hail you a cab. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.   The room was wonderful but in part that was because I had 6/7 (both) access to myself. With only a small room on its own - even with an excellent bathroom - I would have found it too small for C21st expectations. On the other hand, the staff(a manager?) was wonderful, including letting me use the breakfast room to do some emails etc. and next morn... hva folk sier » ing breakfast was outstanding!! Yes I will be back. It was definitely as described and definitely not a flat pack chain hotel room. It's position in w - So many hotels are identical, and I stay in a lot of hotels! It was really nice to have something that was out of the ordinary for once, yet still in a good location (right next to Kings Cross station) and with functionality ... free wireless etc. A great breakfast, an extremely helpful and courteous staff, overall it made a very good impression.
