Warm and friendly welcome from Chris and Roy. Offered a choice of room and had a nice one on second floor at front of house looking towards trees and park. Just a short walk to the centre of Harrogate for restaurants etc, Excellent and generous breakfast. Room was comfortable, excellent modern en-suite, tee and coffee making facilities and fresh fruit in the room. Comfortable bed. Nice lounge at front of house. This is the best guest house we have ever stayed in. The owners were welcoming and friendly and the whole house was spotless. Our room was modern, comfy and well-equipped and the breakfast was excellent. It is in an excellent location for shopping, eating and theatre visits and parking was not a problem due to the permit system. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
Loved everything. Could not have had a better stay. Gorgeous room overlooking beautiful park, homey stay, close to downtown but quiet, chosen because it was close to my Mum's childhood home on Harlow Moor Drive. Breakfast copious and delicious. Will recommend your place to all my friends and family.
i loved my stay at the dales spotlessly clean rooms which are very comfortable with every amenity even down to fresh fruit in my room superb breakfast ,considering the price i would give this a 5* rating ,some of my colleagues stayed in b&b and were in rooms like shoeboxes.

We loved the soft comfy pillows, mattresses and duvets. Couldn't have been more comfortable. The environment was quiet & peaceful at night but we weren't too far away from restaurants.

Be careful about parking which is on the road outside The Dales. Chris and Roy have parking permits which they issue to guests - permit is valid from noon one day to noon the next. Traffic wardens give tickets if not properly displayed - guests MUST write their vehicle registration number on the permit. If the procedure is followed properly, then parking is not a problem.
