  A beautiful setting. Lovely local inn which has been tastefully modernised inside with oak furnishings and dark soft brown comfy chairs. Great friendly staff and food was fantastic. A beautiful large beer garden with tables, chairs and umbrellas. Continental breakfast with a good varied choice, fresh and tasty. Wish we could have had longer. - The room was well appointed; the bed was good. One female member of staff was brilliant: provided compensatory item after complaint about lasagne; very helpful indeed. Beer was good. Decor downstairs was tasteful. Other members of staff were also pleasant and helpful. Full marks.

  Friendly helpful staff, including a porter who carried our suitcase. The reception, bar and restaurant staff were all polite and attentive and made us feel very welcome. Spacious, comfortable room, good bed, decent size and good bathroom, obviously well cared for. We were in the modern downstairs section which was of a very nice design and well a... hva folk sier » ppointed. We had 2 breakfasts and one evening meal. The evening meal was good value and delicious. Weekend breakfast slighly less formal but still p - I stayed on 3 separate occasions over a 10-day period. Rooms - well set out with all expected facilities, and especially good desk/working area. Comfortable beds and easy to control ventilation. Overall excellent for a business-related stay. Ability to check in very late evening was extremely useful, and the check-in and check-out procedures (and paying) were very quick an efficient. Useful to be able to get a good sandwich after arrival late on a Sunday evening. Staff were always friendly a
