The hotel is effectively a good sized traditional country Inn and as such retains a really authentic natural charm to both the outside and especially, the inside of the building.
It has been extended at the rear to form a bright and sunny addition to the main eating are which is mainly used as a Breakfast area.

The room was large and airy, it was kept lovely and warm on some very cold days. Everything was there including some delicious biscuits. There is a restaurant which serves mouth watering food which I would highly recommend which was also presented very well. Well done to the chef there :-)

Breakfast was very good with a wide selection and great service. We spent two nights - one on arrival in the UK and one the night before we left after touring for three weeks. The Bull & Swan is an atmospheric historical inn with stone walls and huge fireplaces. It is perfectly located for visiting Burghley House and exploring the pretty town of Stamford. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and made us feel immediately relaxed and at home. Our room was stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean, with a large comfortable bed and lovely walk-in shower. Breakfast was ample, with plenty of choice of cold and hot goodies. Will definitely return.
