  Comfortable and full of old world character with modern facilities. Cromwell room is at rear of property where the neighbours are very quiet. Limited 2 hour parking outside but plenty of long-stay only a pleasant 5 minute walk away.CJs underneath where breakfast is served had a great atmosphere. If... hva folk sier » you're "picky" I'd suggest you find a national chain hotel and leave this for those who enjoy something a little different. - We arrived early to the surprise of the staff they handled this well to everyone's satisfaction. All the staff were helpful and attentive, the bar area is full of imaginative art, a passion of mine so a real delight to see. The breakfast was wonderful and really set us up for a long journey home. As we have family in the area we will be going back for other stays, especially as we will be able to take our two small dogs the next time. We can't wait.

  Great quirky place to stay. Terrific staff serving good beers and good food. Very handy for Gatwick (1st visit) or a handy stop over from the channel before driving north (2nd visit). Fabulous breakfast (although a bit slow) they made my wife a real fresh fruit yoghurt and I had a hearty calorie busting cooked breakfast with local produce.
