Everyone was extremely friendly and more than happy to help. The Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the City Centre but in dire weather (as was this weekend) taxi's are happy to pick up/drop off. - Only stayed overnight but impressed with the helpfulness of the staff, especially reception when booking in.

The place is superb. And would still be at double the price: it's amazingly inexpensive.
Character, comfort, calm, good food (offering both "bar" and "restaurant" menus - from the same kitchen - is a smart way of catering for every budget).
The staff are really excellent and thoughtful.
I can't imagine why anyone would stay anywhere else at Canterbury - or at the channel ports if you are en route to/from there, it's only a minute off the fast road. I certainly won't again.

My partner and I were upgraded and had a wonderful stay in a room with a goregous four poster bed, the bathroom had a lovely jacuzzi bath. The hotel staff were clearly busy but extremely friendly, curteous and welcoming. The hotel restaurant served excellent food and was enjoyed by hotel guests and many locals! The hotel grounds were beautiful.

Very modern accomodation and freindly staff. The reception gave me good advice on what to visit. The beds each have their individual light and plug so it's perfect not to disturb each other in the dorm. The sheets are on when you come in and you just have to undo the bed which is convenient. Lockers for bags and nice self cateing kitchen available

The Abode Canterbury is excellent for disabled access, the rooms are beautifully decorated with luxurious fittings and it has an air of calm. Very comfortable rooms which were very spacious with excellent tiled bathroom. Beautiful beamed bar and restaurant, very cosy with excellent food, included a Sunday lunch and children's menu. Good selection of real ales. A very good value place to stay when visiting Canterbury.
