The owners are genuinely friendly, and warmly welcomed us. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern. Breakfasts are superb, using locally sourced ingredients, and including fresh fruits and homemade yoghurt. Great central location for exploring countryside and coast. Plenty of historic places of interest, including nearby Tintagel. Near to the fantastic Camel Trail, for cyclists and walkers.
We'd have no hesitation in recommending Helstone House, and would certainly stay there again. alle vurderinger »
Everything - very friendly & welcoming hosts. Clean, large comfortable room and en suite, with large walk in shower. Bottled water & hot drink sachets + biscuits provided. Fantastic breakfast. Home made yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, toast & choice of cooked breakfast (inc fresh fish) every day. We were offered and advised on the local places of interest, which was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and would not hesitate to recommend Helstone House to others.
A lovely couple who offers a warm welcome in a beautiful and comfortable English country home. The service is absolutely above what can be expected from hosts,we felt just like at home! The breakfast is first class with local and home made ingredients of the best quality, and is served at a light glass-roof terrace with view on the lovely garden.Good location to Tintagel. Highly recommended.
An excellent base for touring the Cornwall area. The hosts were willing to please and the rooms are very well appointed with quality linen and furnishings. Breakfast was terrific. Providing fresh milk in our room in a thermo jug was far better than the little thimbles full of UHT milk you get at other places. The welcoming pot of tea in the garden was much appreciated.
Stephen was lovely and he and his wife did everything to make my stay special. The bed was so comfortable, coffee or tea in the room and toiletries in the bathroom. There was a cooked breakfast as we'll as cereal, fruit
and homemade yoghurt all served in a room with a view over the countryside. A good place to stay if you want to visit Port Isaac.
As soon as we arrived we felt instantly at ease and made to feel welcome. Sadly we could only stay one night but will be going back for longer next time. Wonderful breakfast my partners full English was delicious and my alternative choice of scrambled eggs was the best i have tasted. Well Done Steve and Lesley.Wish we could have stayed longer.
I really loved my stay at Helstone House - Lesley and Steve are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the house is lovely, and I haven't felt so looked after in a while! Breakfast was wonderful - all local produce and a big selection. They have clearly thought through every aspect of your stay and you feel like a very valued guest.

n/a Nobody could complain about this venue, it is the best we have ever stayed at.
Nothing this little place ticked all boxes.
The B&B is right by the road so there was a bit of traffic noise. We were there on a hot summer night and had the windows open. We suggested a fan to the owner so perhaps they will get one to block out some noise and keep the room cooler on hot evenings.
Nothing.
Close to passing road, although not a big road, traffic noise was
apparent. Room little to small size with problem to fit in
suitecases.Bathroom very small but in very good standard. Took only
cash but it was alright since Steve pointed out this already in a e-
mail b4 arrival.
Cannot find fault with anything would give five stars if it was in our power to do so.
