the hotel was good value for money. The breakfast was generous in portion size and was enjoyable. We ate at the hotel on the evening and the food was tasty and good value for money. The rooms were a little tired but very clean and a comfortable and cosy bed.
It was a very nice and friendly pub. The breakfast was tasty and there was an excellent selection of options to choose from. We had a lovely meal, I had steak and my daughter a homemade burger, both were fantastic.alle vurderinger »
room was comfy,we stayed at the time the weather was very hot.The room is not air conditioned (however the bars were) so was difficult to sleep. That said, with more temperate outside temperatures it would be ok.
The bed in room 2 is real comfy very clean spotless linen would recommend it to anyone only one bug bare is it makes you hungry as the room is over the kitchen, and there is no A/C so its very warm.
Staff were very helpful, put drinks in fridge overnight, provided fan for the room as it was very hot and flexible with our booking and the number of nights needed, food very nice and good vale.
it was a lovely place with lovely staff who were there if needed but left you alone if not ate there in the evening and the food then and the breakfast was great and was a reasonable price.
real ales & good food, good location near to city centre and seafront. good extras in room - and when they saw we had a bottle of wine they left us 2 extra glasses without us asking.
that we were allowed to come and go as we pleased, everyone was helpful and polite and we were left alone. the room and facilities we required were all there.
The air conditioning in the bar and restaurant areas was a Godsend in
the hot weather. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and
comfortable.
relaxed atmosphere..one of our family live close by, so it is convenient for us. Have stayed before - so that speaks for itself.
atmosphere of the pub was friendly and welcoming.
Loved the open fire.
Staff were friendly as I was on my own at times.
Large, comfortable and very clean room. Very good facilities, helpful and friendly staff. Food was excellent also.
Bed was comfy, bathroom clean and tidy. Staff were all friendly and accommodating, breakfast was excellent.
relaxed and friendly atmosphere and able to enter the hotel without having to go through the bar.

breakfast and location.
Nice enough hotel for an overnight stop. Good selection of beer.
Staff were very good.
comfy beds.
nothing.
The room was over the car park and at times could be a little noisy, but this did not distract from our enjoyment of the stay.
only one bug bare is it makes you hungry as the room is over the kitchen, and there is no A/C or fan so its very warm.
Breakfast set up not very appealing and no menu, windows in room did not open sufficiently.
nothing really, considering the price and location.
room was too hot.
Would have preferred a shower cubicle or shower over bath, but all said, the bathroom was large, clean but difficult for my partner to get in and out of.
Road noise. Loose tap in sink and loose toilet bowl.
No breakfast menu offered, so had to guess what we wanted.
nothing.
No big issues.
Holes in car park exit.
nothing.
Room furniture could be more up to date, curtains included.
None.
Stayed during a heatwave, no air-con, and not much ventilation.
Noise of sit con outside bedroom window.
we are old fashioned and would have liked a bath!.
We were in Room 2 which is very noisy with air conditioning/extractor units starting up several times during the night. Bed a little soft. Prefer Room 5. Will only book a front facing room in future.
furniture dated.
Parts of the hotel are looking a bit 'tired' - in need of decoration.
Nothing.
Shower wasn't very powerful kept going scalding hot and then freezing cold. We stayed in room 2.
quite noisy aircon units under our room which was located at the back of the pub.
nothing.
bed was to soft.
It was 30 degrees C when we stopped and there was a lot of road noise with the windows open (no air con). Smoke was also blown into the room from the smokers drinking outside.
Shower was partly broken, and the room was small for a double. Worst thing was that you could only open a window one inch - no fresh air.
one window painted so it would not open.the other one would not close or latch because it was restricted by a short length of wire.handle brocken.the only fan available did not work propley.very tired decor.the weekend of the sixth oct was really hot.so no way could we stay in our room.we were offered another room but the bed settee that was to be used as a single bed was about one inch thick ok for a child but not an adult . twin room no three.
I asked for a VAT receipt on departure which could not be provided. For a business traveler this is poor service and not acceptable from a Youngs Pub..
The concert in the garden on the first night of our stay ruined the whole experience: Our room overlooked the stage and the noise levels made the room uninhabitable. No warning prior to booking and no real apology afterwards. A shame, because otherwise it was a good hotel.
