I ahve never stayed in such a welcoming and customer caring hotel. The staff are absolutely lovely and are very happy to help you in anyway!! I will deffinately be returning. It was extremely cloes to the event I was attending and had 24 hour access and a friendly feel to the place. the staff were polite and friendly the rooms were clean. Walking distance to centre of Blackpool. it was warm and the second day we were served the left overs from breakfast the day before we are both chefs so we no how things are done, coffee was very sour not noce at all, the tea was very nice.Location was brilliant - near to the centre. the only point i can say is it would be nice if breakfast time where longer. been a young couple and going out in Blackpool there was no way 8-9am was going to be seen. maybe looking at 8-10.30am.we had one of the front rooms and was very noisy. Tv Too High At 3Am In The Reception Aera. the stairs. Not a dislike, but just interesting that the room was listed as having a a television, which is did, however it required the activating a meter by submitting a one pound coin to use it! Not a huge issue as I didn't want to use the television much, but for some guest, particularly with children, may be.Rooms very small. Air freshner smell as gives me headache wasnt to bad as someother hotels. breakfast was cold. when we first arrived at the hotel, as we were being shown to the room, the stairwell leading to the rooms had a odour which was a bit off putting.not enough hot water. sink was cracked. It was a bit noisy being so close to the centre but overall good value for money. I was a bit worried after I read the reviews but had no problems its not 4 star but its good value. the bar in the hotel is very small and did not have a large choice of drinks, and it opened in the evening and closed quite early between 8pm and 9pm . poor decor. no parking. poor shower system/hot water.the basement was a mess and my room only had a bath no hot water and the bathroom window was jammed open all the time. Plus no bathroom lock that worked. there was no hot water for the 2 days that we was there. you get what you pay for. A bit run down. We booked in at 8pm as I had phoned beforehand to say we wouldnt be there till then. We then got the keys and were left in the hotell all weekend alone, apart from the lady coming in to make breakfast in morning. If there had been a fire you could not get out of windows. I did understand that it was law for someone to be staying in the premises all night. The owners were certainly nice and welcoming but didn't think it right to be left in the premises on our own. The shower never got anything hotter than luke warm and one of the windows wouldn't open as they had got a new one fitted and didn't have the key, although they tried they're best to resolve the issue. we had no hot water all week after complaining on the 1st day and being told it would be fixed we left on the sat and the tap was not done still no hot water. the cleanlyness of the room was not very good. There was no shower in our room, just a bath. Breakfast was only served from 8-9. wanted a double room but when we arrived we got a twin room. Room was small, light did not work in bedroom, bed springs were brokenon one of the beds,. small bathroom. The rooms were very small and in need of redecoration. has I have a disability the lack of a shower a bath was no use to me.bar was never open. Duvet cover was dirty, inside sheet was clean but there were marks on duvet cover - hadn't been washed. Bar was never open - shutter always down.no lift ,being dissabled l had to struggle up a steep flight of stairs. Bit like a rabbit warren, trying to find your room was challenging. Barwas advertised, but never open! Breakfast time should be extended to10.00 hrs at least. Rooms definitely in need of some tlc.
