Green Hedges - self catering is a 1930s detached house with an expansive garden and an indoor swimming pool. The UNSECO World Heritage Site of Bath city centre is a 20-minute walk away, along the River Avon and Kennet & Avon Canal. Free on-site parking for up to 5 cars is also available.
Each room at Green Hedges comes with plenty of storage room and use of a shared bathroom with a large bathtub. Guests can relax in the living room which features a coal effect fire, TV and DVD player. The dining room has a table for 8 and a long window seat which opens to the kitchen. A washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities and a large fridge/freezer are provided in the utility room.
A wide variety of shops, restaurants and the historic Roman Baths can be found within Bath city centre. The village of Larkhall is a 5-minute walk away and includes a deli, an old fashioned grocer selling fresh fruit & veg, and an award-winning butcher selling locally produced meat.

House very clean, large rooms, nice neutral décor, ample parking. We didn't meet the owner but communication was good - he phoned to check we had arrived and the property was to our satisfaction. We didn't get a chance to cook but the kitchen facilities seemed fine. We had the property to ourselves as we were renting all four of the bedrooms.
The very friendly owner was waiting at the planned time for us and made sure we had everything that we could possibly need, including fresh bread milk croissants and fruit. Excellent, really enjoyed our stay, the place was clean and tidy and had everything you need also walking distance to the town.
Really comfy bed. Huge bathroom and nicely decorated. Very organised staff who accommodated us superbly!.
Size of the room, bed size and comfort, kitchen facilities the location was ideal for this occasion.

Green Hedges is a large 4 bedroom home which needs minor adjustments for B&B purposes.
The kitchen was large, gas & wood stove, Lots of equipment, There are four large living areas, huge backyard, enclosed in ground swimming pool. It's great for families or groups of friends.
The shared toilet is large (although the door is difficult to close).

Swimming pool was not clean and was full of dead spiders so we didn't use. There appeared to be leftovers in the fridge, which confused us as we had sole use of the property.
Felt embarrassed by the noise of the bathroom door in the night which needed a good push to lock it.

Advertised with a pool but it was closed for maintenance.
The bedroom would benefit from a small sink so you could wash without going to the main and only bathroom in the house.
The shower area needs a curtain or door a bit too exposed to the walkway
. But I was fine not sure of the gay couple that had to contend with
seeing my naked silhouette in it as they left .
The swimming pool was disappointing. We were looking forward to use it but didn't get a chance as it was not clean.

Bathroom door does not close properly, No mirror in the bedroom, no pictures, room very bare, Shower cubicle was not good, hardly any water was coming out of the shower. It was not powerful enough.
The rooms don't have locks and our door could not be closed. The shower is a converted linen closet with only a shower curtain (no door) Shared bathroom has a large spa with hand held tap. No cleaning products were visible for spa.
Steps to spa steep for disabled or elderly.
Awkward narrow driveway entrance needs widening. Old car left in driveway looked shabby.
No private toilet. The shower room is see-through. There is no clear sign board for the travel lodge, which took me a great effort to find it.
