  The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. There was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The superior bedroom was clean, spacious and the daily letter on weather forecast left on the bed was very helpful in planning activities. Food was very good - but has proved bad for the waistline!! I could not resist. The lounge was a comfortable are... hva folk sier » a for coffee, reading the paper, etc - Wow, we travel alot but have rarley found such a friendly, quality Inn (hotel.) The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. the bathroom was well appointed with an amazing shower. the highlight though was the food and drink, an incredible atmosphere in the bar with real ales and whiskies galore. The food in the Bistro and restaurant is fantastic! we WILL be back!

  The staff were very friendly and attentive.The grounds are superb and if you want simply to relax and do nothing the public rooms are delightful places to spend time. - The staff and service were exceptional. I would recommend Armathwaite Hall to anyone looking for a unique luxury break in a beautiful environment.
