It was our second stay and we found it to be consistanly good. We had dinner at the hotel on our second visit, that also was excellent, the Fish Pie was wonderful.alle vurderinger »
Lovely comfortable room, really nice breakfast, lunch was really enjoyable especially home mede chips, menu for evening meal had a lovely selection to choose from. Due to work committment I didnt arrive at the hotel until 22:00, I rang them to advise the reception that I would be late, I would book this hotel again.we were made to feel welcome and the staff very helpful. The room (executive suite): location of the hotel:the beautiful garden(which we saw from our balcony-didn't go down to it though). The staffand the quality of the evening meal...superb!!. Nice freindly staff and very tidy. The hotel's bar/lounge provides excellent food. The hotel is quite remote so hardly any noise cars etc. Plenty of parking around the hotel. Cooked breakfast is very good.Friendly and obliging staff, comfortable and clean rooms, good selection of meals available. We'll be back in Decmber. Very good value for money. Thought had been put into having good showers, comfortable beds etc. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, smart newly refurbished decor, sizeand style of room. Very nice, very clean, perfect hotel stuff, very good breakfest. good friendly atmosphere, made to feel very welcome. 50 metres from railway station. The location and the staff was wonderful. The food and drink waswonderful. quiet, good food, free wifi, access to train station across road,. the friendly staff, food and comfort of the rooms. Freshly decorated clean and friendly. This hotel is very clean, warm and comfortable. I thought the evening meals were ok but a little expensive. Breakfast was very good . Did think the bill could have itemised, but all in all it was a nice stay and the room was equipped with everything we needed. The bar area was very comfortable and the atmosphere was very relaxed, music was good too. Would stay again if in the area. Pleasant staff, clean room, convenience, decent bar, restaurant OK too. Food was very good and a nice menu. Friendly staff. Very friendly hotel staff, a very friendly hotel.good food, friendly staff, comfortable room. Comfortable, good breakfast, nice staff. friendly and hlepful staff; well furnished and clean room and bathroom. Nothing was too much trouble. good food. Location, friendliness of staff, clean room. Friendly and caring staff. The food was good and there was a fair selection of ales. The room was reasonably equipped.Staff friendliness. Nothing. Disappointed to find the executive suite did not have a bath (as well asa shower) and was not mentioned when viewing site. Full Englishbreakfast was very disappointing (dry and overcooked) Poached eggs for mybreakfast were superb!!!. Some background music during breakfast would be nice (otherwise it's so quiet) in the restaurant.could not get internet access in the rooms. It did not have a lift (and we had a lot of luggage) and there was noair conditioning or even a fan to move the air around and it was hot inthe afternoon. (In the UK's defense, it was exceptionally hot which isnot the hotel's fault). the light outside the bedroom window. Road and Train station near so some noise. Loved everything, the garden must be beautiful in the spring and summer, pity the weather was inclement when we were there... not the hotels fault..lol!!. Room was directly above a function room and I wasn't warned about a noisy function taking place (though it did finish at midnight). Door on the corridor was very hard to open. Would have proved impossible for someone weak to open, ie. elderly. served instant coffe with breakfast. No switch for the bedside light. The Hotrel found it a struggle to greet us and provide either of our lunch orders as a result of staff absentees and new magament. Also, for the price, a small lounge area downstairs with a fireplace would be nice even if just like Starbucks sofas!. Fish and chips were not at all crisp; vegetables were of poor quality. The public rooms were somewhat "barn like" and lacked atmosphere I look for in an inn. The bedroom was very stuffy with only limited window openings and would have been unbearable if the weather had been hot.Room was not complete in its provision - 1 towel missing, no bath mat, no sugar light bulb broken. No cold water on the first night and no hot water on the second morning in both rooms that I booked.
