Dating from the 18th-century, the Allanton is charming coaching inn located in Berwickshire. It has a large garden with countryside views, modern bedrooms with luxury furnishings and an elegant restaurant.
Rooms at the Allanton Inn are decorated in soft colours and original artwork. Beds are covered in Egyptian cotton sheets, and rooms also feature flat-screen TVs and bathrooms with luxurious toiletries.
Beautiful wooden tables and polished floors are gently lit by candlelight in the restaurant. It serves fine British cuisine including beef from the family farm, West Coast mussels and local wood pigeon.
The River Whiteadder offers fantastic salmon and trout fishing, and is just a 2-minute walk from the Allanton. Berwick-upon-Tweed, on the East Coast, is a 15-minute drive away.

We liked absolutely everything of this inn. The owners and staff could not have been friendlier. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with personal touches. The dinner was absolutely perfect and the best was to just having to go upstairs and relax in the comfortable bed.Will definately be back.

To be honest we liked everything about the Allanton Inn. The welcome was good, the room was really nice and the food excellent. The bed was really comfortable shower good. All in all great place to stay. Parking available outside. Would highly recommend it.
Our room was spacious with the most beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The complimentary toiletries were large and luxurious. The food was extremely good - a very sophisticated menu. A really good place to stay.
The rooms were extremely comfortable with everything which we needed. The restaurant was excellent with fresh food cooked to order, especially the hot smoked salmon - a real treat. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
