This hotel was excellent for location,literally a 5 minute walk from the
airport. There's also a free shuttle bus from stand 2 that drops you
off within 100 yards of the hotel The beds were very comfortable We were
a late check in after a midnight landing at Luton, staff couldn't do
enough. We had a connecting filght at Heathrow back to Canada next day
and booked our seats in advance at the hotel, front desk staff offered
to print our boarding passes from the internet. Rooms were small but

I took my girlfriend away for the weekend, and we had an amazing time. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the facilities are very modern and clean. The grounds are well kept and I proposed to my girlfriend in the rock garden, which looks like something straight out of a fantasy film. I would absolutely recommend this hote

Wonderful historic building and rooms. Lovely setting. Wernher restaurant is quite exceptional. Golf course massive. Clay pigeon shooting top. Highly recommended as a historic and luxurious weekend.
However I think you need to be in the main building - you wouldn't want to be in the modern block - no matter how sympathetically designed. That would eliminate the whole point of the experience.

support. The bathroom was excellent with a large walk in shower however
it would be useful if we were informed on arrival that we had to request

I had read reviews and I wondered whether it could live up to expectations. It did more than this. I enjoyed the peaceful location and took advantage of the close proximity to 'The Downs' to have a Sunday morning walk. Needed the walk to burn off the extra calories from the excellent breakfast. Carmel was wonderful. She took time out to talk to her guests and had a good rapport with everyone.

I noted the care and attention to detail in the presentation of my room. Well done whoever was responsible it really shows you a level of professionalism rarely seen.
Breakfast and evening staff were very welcoming and pleasant, again well done all.
This experience has really reinforced my already high regard for the Ibis hotel group.
