  Mo at the reception is a really nice guy. We arrived early and he still made sure our room was available for us ASAP. We had a double room which was very nice and clean. The hostel had a lift which was amazing after spending a lot of time lugging bags up many flights of stairs. There is a bus stop out the front of the hostel which takes you strai... hva folk sier » ght to Waterloo station (by the London eye and Southbank). Takes 20minutes and it is also a 5 min walk to the closest train station. The hostel was qu - The staff was incrediblly nice, everyone was very helpful and polite. There are bus stops in front of the building, the Rotherhithe underground station less than 10 minutes away, it's located in a residential zone so it's a very quiet and safe place. I had previously read a review that said it was scary to walk from the underground station to the hostel, but let me tell you even though it's mostly a desserted area at the late hours of night, it's very safe, so don't worry about that.   A really superb location, decent but cheap breakfast, really clean and appears well managed. I would definitely recommend it to others if you are not hoping for anything too fancy. Bed was already made which is unusual for a hostel. - Liked everything!   Unforgettable fabulous stay in London Thanks to letsbookhotel.com, I have been fortunate enough to stay at The Hotel Strand Continental for an affordable price, during my recent trip to London. The Hotel Strand Continental is located at a privileged point, in London’s west end; 2 steps far from King’s College London, very near from The River Thame... hva folk sier » s through Waterloo Bridge, in addition to some of the most important sightseeing attractions such as the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, London Eye, Sa - Location! Right next to Somerset House. 5 min walk to Temple underground tube. No frills but no unexpected nasty bits. Tea/coffee in room, towels provided, there was clean bedding. Breakfast was good, cereal, toast, juice and tea and coffee as much as you'd like. There was stairs but we didn't mind. We arrived at 10am and our room had already been cleaned so we were told to go straight in. Lovely. Would stay here again
