It is about a kilometre to the Blue Mosque etc but I enjoyed the walk and always felt safe walking back alone late at night. The man who owns the apartment (Ahmed) was lovely and went out of his way to be helpful. There is a pide shop below the apartment and a fruit shop and general store very close by, as well as a café around the corner. I would definitely recommend this place. It was great value for money.
