  Traveling to Istanbul very often I stay at Point Barbaros very often as it is close to my office. I like the ambiance and location of the hotel, its modern design and excellent service.   It was really enjoyable stay at Movenpick Istanbul, so comfortable, so quite, service and staff is really 5 stars.... Restaurant, wellness center, men and women beauty salon, internet is good. In addition to the location it is very very good, too many shops and shopping mall near from you and the metro station was very close to the hotel and it is... hva folk sier » directly take you to Taksim... Value of money was fair enough with such a nice stay.... Finally I strongly recommend this hotel to whom want have a g - Hospitality , since my arrival wellcoming spirit with everyone , every one wants to help . I also noticed a precsion in everything I asked for. Before leaving the hotel , I was planned to have a taxi pick up at 4:45 in the morning . at 3:30 am ,safe box in my room failed to open with all my valuables inside (passport , air ticket , money..) I picked up the phone and asked for help , a few minutes later a smily guest service personell came over and open it for me . I expected to have some delay

  The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The c... hva folk sier » oncierge Evren is superb, recommending us of fantastic restaurants (usually nearby, as the location is great) and tours and activities. The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
