Swimming pool and the wellness are included in the room price. And both are clean, well equipped, etc.. The breakfast was better than in other hotels of comparable standarts. Nice view of mosque. Overall good value for money

Friendly welcome. My room was upgraded.. I was offered an extension of check out time, as my flight was in late afternoon. Location was also good, i saw a few small restaurants near by, although i did not try any. Not too far from CBD..
Airport transfer used was a rip off. Hotel staff should not 'Insist " on clients using large van, if only one traveller.
We were fully satisfied with all service of Grand Hotel Gulsoy. We found Istanbul as one of most charming cities in the world.
We had bad luck with the exceptionally cold weather in October for Istanbul. By day, the 10-14 C, even 8 degrees. C in the morning.

The hotel looks new, rooms are clean and comfortable and 4 star quality. The hotel is mostly quite and staff are helpful. Bathroom is good also.
They turn off the colling system at night to save power! I woke up in the middle of the night sweating and after complaining strongly to the reception they turned it back on. I am paying for a hotel with AC so I should be the one to deciede to turn it on or off not them!
Staff were really helpful. I needed to get to meds late at night and the boys arranged everything from calling the pharmacy to getting the same of the med to arranging the taxi

-Breakfast was too basic for a 4 star. -Breakfast hall is underground. Idiotic idea when your hotel is in such a location. -Noisy thin walls. -Staff does the bare minimum with no initiative to smile, be nice or helpful. -House keeping and room service are very selective with what they restock to our room each day we stayed.
