The staff at S.K. House 2 were fantastic. Very friendly, above and beyond the friendliness I've come to know of the Thai people. The rooms were clean and spacious and the shower facilities were more than I expected, having travelled Bangkok, koh Phangon and Phi Phi. If you plan on shopping the markets, or doing some tours, this is the place to be. Within walking distance of the night bazaar and the Sunday walking market, and they operate sk tours out of the lobby and will book anything you'd li.

The infrustructure of the hotel is quite good in general. Thé location is good once you found the place, in a tiny street beside a temple. The prices for drinks and food at the bar are too high for budget travelers. The position was great and it represented good value for money. Clean hotel, nice pool friendly staff. Nice grounds. Pool was small but ok, but nowhere to sit other than the restaurant. Nothing. This facility does not allow you to flush sanitary paper down the toilet. (Many places in Thailand do not) Rooms are cleaned every second day. Typical hard mattresses and brick for a pillow. Poolside not big enough to sunbathe. Cost slightly higher than quoted. Only 30 baht more but should be easy to include all costs in the online price. nothing. No wifi in the hotel and the computers available with internet were only four and sometimes didn't work. . Staff at reception was not very friendly when we arrived. No double rooms were available. I have asked a direction. To the concierge an he indicated me a wrong place. No wifi in the rooms. Very bad smell in the bathroom. The non A/C room was a little basic. Still not bad for the money though. I was charged double for this hotel because they failed to find my booking from letsbookhotel.com, still waiting for my refund. rooms are starting to get a wee bit tired--full of 18-20yr olds that were sometimes loud-not very family friendly or quiet. 2 very large cockroaches in my bathroom. Spent a few minutes chasing them and then killing them :) No breakfast included for the 800bt Overpriced hostel compared to others in Chiang mai, so only stayed one night and then moved to somewhere else. Rude stuff and smelly.
