We stayed two days at Banyan Tree and two days here. Four Seasons is a beautifuk place with second to none view over the bay. However I do think Banyan tree was better in all other respects and especially the food. -

Simply an amazing hotel with superb service. The staff is extremely pleasant, quick, and friendly. While the hotel is a bit far from the main tourist cities and shopping centers, the restaurant at the hotel, The Terrace, provides excellent food at a great price. We rented a car for 3 days, and that was more than enough to see the entire island and do a bit of shopping. The rest of the time was spent at the hotel enjoying 2 happy hours every day. My wife was very satisfied with her massage and the face treatment. For myself it was the best massage ever, and I know what a good massage is :-).
We also loved the Thai authentity of the place, which is very hard to find nowadays in Thailand. Thanks for making our last day in Koh Samui so wonder
