  A spacious and well-equipped apartment with a very pleasant balcony - no views but a big mature tree to shade us from the hot sun and give some privacy. The furnishing is a bit sparse and upright but it suits the place. The Mairani resort is a gated community that includes a spa, assisted living and retirement homes as well as holiday lets - Appartment was spacious, nicely furnished and clean. Friendly staff, convenient restaurant/bar - personally I found prices reasonable for Switzerland and quality of food was good. Nice pool for kids, not too busy. Very peaceful. Nice gardens. 5 minute walk from the station where you can take the funiculare down to the town. Underground parking was very welcome - kept the car cool! Excellent location - We liked the view of the lake and the roof top terrace. Breakfasts were nice. We stayed on the first floor (room 013), so we did not have a view to lake, but we enjoyed private entry to garden, and at night had a stunning moon shine over the valley.   Our "junior suite" was spacious, clean and the cable TV has lots of channels, including many English ones, which is a plus because not many hotels have this. The restaurant serves really good food (although a little pricey).
