  This was one of the best hotels we stayed at in a Europe wide trip. Itsits within the old city, is elegant, very comfortable indeed, and wewere greeted by outstanding staff and courtesy. Truly outstanding inevery respect. - Nice, cosy, quiet room. Very friendly staff. Rich continental breakfast.

  An easy 25 minute walk from the main railway station, or you can catch tram 12 which goes just near the hotel. We walked the distance both ways with our luggage and found it pleasant walk, but this I guess does depend on the amount of luggage... Finding the hotel was a little confusing as the number 2 in the address refers to the doorway at the st... hva folk sier » reet level which you must enter but there is no sign of Hotel Central which is on the sixth floor! Catch the small lift to sixth floor and turn left a - Very good location in Old Town but rounded by trams that take you to every place in the city, also to the frontier with France. Further, you cross the Mount Blanc Pont and there is the Train Station (Cornavin) from where you depart to the airport (next station) and to many places in Switzerland and other countries. This is my second time in this hotel and would go back again in case I return to Geneva.
