Amaya Lake Dambulla gets 5 stars from me. We booked the standard chalets
and were upgraded to Luxury Rooms without even requesting. They
accomodated our request for an early check in at 6am, 7hrs before check
in time. I celebrated my bday in this beautiful resort and they arranged

Also do not miss the spa, I only got the Lower Limb massage and it was
soo goo -
We had a very relaxing two days stay at the facility. There was some
initial confusion where the hotel mistakenly put us up in a lower
category room than what we had booked but this was quickly resolved when
we highlighted later and were given an upgrade to the luxury suite.
Overall good service levels although I would expect more consistency and
speed as it sometime appeared a bit lackluster. Good choices in their
restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Spa could improve their
infrastructure but

Fantastic location. Hard to get there though as it is about 10km from Dambulla. The food was best we have had in Sri Lanka so far. The infinity pool is beautiful as it looks out to the lake. We arrived later than planned. Signage to this place really needs work.
Once there it was phenomenal. We were greeted by Monica the elephant and
given an upgrade. Thank you fr that. The location and view fr the
restaurant on 6th floor are the things that set this property apart. A
definate must fr anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

The setting and customer service were great. We arrived in the late afternoon, and the spa staff stayed late so that we could get massages since it was our only night at the hotel. The mini-pool on the balcony was great for a bit of private soaking. -

The hotel was in very close proximity to the rock so you could walk to the rock to climb and to the museum,the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Rock Fortress( can be seen from hotel) & Dambulla Cave Temple.
Definitely worth seeing. Reasonably priced. Also on way to Sigiriya
before Dambulla are Spice Gardens.

Everything - this was luxury at its' best! However, one must be a
nature lover and be prepared to share your villa with the wildlife. The
food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and very efficient.
We celebrated our Wedding anniversary whilst there and it was really
